AdafruitUSB Micro-B Breakout Board [ADA1833]

I needed a micro-b breakout board for a little ESP32 project. I have several of the lower cost units and all I can say is, that, if you compare them with this Adafruit unit, there is no comparison. This is typical Adafruit quality, it's very well made and the micro-b socket is solidly attached. I know, it's more $, however, you get what you pay for! So... if you have a project where you are going to be plugging the USB cord in and out on a regular basis, or just want a well made unit, I suggest, that, you get this Adafruit breakout board.

The included breakaway header had an extra pin, so I just snipped it off with some flush cutters. If you're having trouble getting it to stand up while soldering (it's very front-heavy), you can bend some extra breakaway header through the mounting holes on a breadboard.

While the quality is not bad.

I love these, simple, small, and can be used in every single project of mine. Biggest problem is that I don't have more, pick one of these up if you want/need to power your projects with a micro usb cable.

I didn't get what i ordered i got something worth a lot more money than the usb break out board hence the 3 stars.

Works great .. took solder well. Allows much more then 12 volts

I had a bicycle light with a busted mini-USB recharging port. My toddler saw fit to destroy that interface. I trimmed this board down to size, soldered it up, and now I can charge my bike light with the ubiquitous micro-USB.What's that, USB C is getting popular? Oh crap. Guess I'll have to have my son destroy this one.

Exactly what I needed, works like it should, and was still cheaper than buying it a local chain retailer. I would say that it came in packaging that was a bit excessive for the size of this product, but this was a one off purchase for me, as I purchased it as a singular item and still appreciate the caution.

I need this to replace a part on an internet-connected device. Arrived quickly and now in place, working well.

Schnell angekommen und gut gepolstert verpackt.Qualität absolut klasse und Typisch für Adafruit. Die Pins ließen sich leicht einlöten und die Platine ist so gestaltet das man auch ohne die funktion zu beeinträchtigen die Schrauben Löcher absägen kann. Absolut perfekt!

Arrived three days after ordering, which is pretty good!. Great little breakout, does exactly what you'd expect and is very well soldered. It comes with header pins but oddly these are supplied in rows of six - so you have to snap a pin off. This is very easy to do though, just seems a waste.I bought five so I can integrate them with any projects I build in the future and power them with standard USB phone chargers.
