Excellent but Dated book
Book is an excellent piece of writing in typical Bryson style. However, please bear in mind while reading that it covers the scientific developments till about 2002 and no further.. therefore the author, mentions even 2010 as future! Therefore the info presented in the book on aspects of science may be dated by about 20+ years.Rest is all well with the book.

Interesting Book
Quite knowledgeable and interesting book. I've read around 100 pages and I liked it so far. Complex things made easy but not as easy as other reviews here claim.

Comprehensive and thorough
Being extremely lengthy, the book can get tedious at times and the frequent digressions into trivial side stories doesn’t help. But overall, it is a great summary of how much we humans know (and don’t know) about some of the biggest questions of life.
