Spring failure caused all to be returned
I have used this style of trap for the past 6 years with no issues. I have a 7 acre small holding so have plenty of experience setting them. I don't recall what 'make' my current ones are but these still work as normal but I needed some additional ones.I ordered 3 of these traps, all delivered on time, individually boxed with bubble wrap. The first trap to be set failed to 'arm' when the spring retaining wire pulled through the metal casing rendering it useless. I then tried the second trap and although this did not fail, on pulling the spring back it seemed weak and I never actually set it. The third trap was never opened. The two I tried set easily as long as you know what to do.I could have used some pliers to return the spring wire back into the casing but wasn't confident of the longevity of these so they were returned for a refund.I then purchased 3 more on Amazon and paid double the price but these set perfectly.

useless
I have used tunnel mole traps for years. These are impossible to set as they have 2 manufacturing faults. The hooks are too short and even if you manage to get them hooked the trap goes off as soon as it is moved. The 2 hooks holding the rings in place have not been squeezed enough so the rings drop off them as you try to set the trap. Also the springs are far stronger than they need to be, making setting the traps even more difficult.

A trap that works!
Caught two moles with traps located in different runs. A first for me - I have never had success before (with a different type of trap), but I noted that the mole catcher I hired used these traps for his work. Tricky to set, and tbh I was fearful for my fingers, but well worth the effort.

Don't waste your time and money on this.
The wire that holds the spring to the main body failed as I tried to set the trap, almost taking a finger off. I managed to bend it back using pliers, set the trap and put it in the mole tunnel. I checked it 2 days later. No mole caught and trap broken again with the same failure. Threw it in the bin. JUNK!! Don't waste your time and money.

They work
I bought these after wasting £180 on getting a useless moleman from Able Services to come and ponce around my garden for a week.Bought these, popped them in the ground and hey presto , one less mole to worry about, so they do work.I dropped a star because although they came within the wide delivery band they gave, they took way lot longer than i expected and I have 5 more mole hills than should.

A very good trap , work well , ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Totaly brilliant saved me a fortune , i dug into the run, that the mole used . Carefully trying not to make it to wide width of trap, then placed it lenght ways with trap set then placed a garden slab over the hole to block out light . Got 2 moles job done , the mole man charges £90 a mole 😁

It works.
Haven’t used this type of mole trap before, but it works well and is definitely an improvement on the old scissor mole traps.
