Works great and nearly identical to the OEM remotes
I purchased these to replace the two original key-fobs for a 2008 Malibu. The car dealership wanted $100 per remote plus $60 each to program--$320 in total! The auto locksmith I called charged the same as the dealership to program (I didn't shop around but other reviewers have found locksmiths as cheap as $40 per remote), but the savings on the remotes alone made it well worth it--plus the locksmith came directly to me 20 minutes after I called. These remotes are nearly identical to the original OEM remotes. The weight, size, and texture are the same, with the only visible difference being that these don't have operating instructions imprinted into the back. (After 7 years of use, the pictograms on the front weren't terribly difficult to decipher so the missing instructions are a moot point.) As one reviewer mentioned, the buttons are set slightly deeper than on the original remote and aren't quite as comfortable to use, but I don't think it's a $90 difference. After programming, all the functions work perfectly (lock/unlock, panic, trunk, and remote start) and the remotes have the same distance range as the original remotes. (Bonus tip: If you hold the remote under your chin during use you get much better range. I know it sounds stupid but it works.) Each remote also comes with a medium-sized and very strong key ring, which is nice. All in all, I highly recommend these remotes as reliable and much cheaper replacements to the original remotes. I was hesitant to buy them since they're third-party and much cheaper than what the dealer was quoting, but between Amazon's generous return policies and the other reviews I figured it was a low-risk purchase, and I'm glad to say they work perfectly.

No need to program; exact replicas.
These fobs are exactly like the originals for my 2011 Chevy Malibu. The plastic is the same quality and they have the rubber water seal. Both of my original fobs started to go bad. At first I had to push the buttons harder and longer to get them to work, until some of the buttons stopped working completely. Since some of the buttons still worked, I figured it wasn't a battery issue, but I tried new batteries anyway. No luck. So, I bought these replacement fobs and attempted to do what I read in another review. I put my original fob mother boards in the replacement fobs. This would allow my new fobs to work without needing costly reprogramming. Worked like a charm! All buttons on both fobs work with an easy press, just like new. 2 like-new working fobs for only $15!! Obviously you would need to pay for programming if you were replacing a missing fob, but if the buttons start to wear out try this fix!

If at 1st it doesn't work....try again
Ordered to replace factory provided FOBs for 2010 Chevy Mailibu. Product came with battery as promoted. Had to take FOBs to the dealership to be programmed. Cost $25 for both! Dealership wanted over $100 for one FOB.Once programmed,tThe FOBs worked to lock, unlock; pop the trunk BUT...the first time I tried to start the car remotely the horn & lights went off and car was disabled from being started & Drained the battery! I had to Jump start the car. But since then the FOB remote starter has worked perfectly!

Switching Old Cards Into New Remotes Worked!
I placed the old cards into the new remotes, and all the buttons worked fine on both remotes! This was a great deal. Thank you!

Awsome prices
06 grand prix I just can't program it myself. I haven't found the proper step by step information from the website. But I bought 2 fobs from here before for my 02' and my 98' honda accords. It was easy to program those fobs myself and both fobs worked perfectly for both carswebsites step-by-step video.

Well worth the money
The key fob for my car stopped working for anything except opening the trunk and I thought that I needed to re[place the batteries. Replacing the batteries did no good whatsoever. Did some research on the net and found out that the rubber pad the buttons are on can go bad and that a cheap way to fix it was to put tiny pieces of tin foil under the pad. The good news is that it actually did work and basically cost no money, the bad news is that occasionally the new connection was just too good and the car would continuously keep trying to unlock the door when it was already unlocked. The next solution was buying this 2 pack of fobs, the price was reasonable, it contained new batteries, the only potential downside was that to use them as they arrived would require getting them programmed. At least that would have been a problem if they weren't such a good match to the factory original fobs so all I needed to do was pop the electronics out of the old fobs and put them in the new ones, so ended up with original electronics but new cases and new rubber buttons and a pair of key fobs that work perfectly and as an added bonus the new buttons don't have their labels worn down.

No locksmith or dealership needed
Geez, after reading some of these reviews saying "ABSOLUTELY MUST BE PROGRAMED BY A LOCKSMITH OR DEALERSHIP" I was a little apprehensive when buying these key fobs for a 2009 Chevy Malibu. In my case programming could not have been any easier. I'm an automotive tech with a bidirectional scan tool, so I was able to program these myself, for free (for a friend) and it only took about 2 minutes, and both new fobs work perfectly. So NO, you absolutely do not need a locksmith or dealership to program these. Save yourself some $. If you can't do it yourself by googling "key fob program procedures" for your vehicles year, make, and model, or if you prefer this very simple and painless task be done professionally, then bring it to a reputable mechanic/repair shop. I'm sure it'll be a ton cheaper than those other 2 options. All you need is a (bidirectional) scan tool that can connect to your vehicles body control module (BCM). Hope this helps someone out there.

Key fobs
I didn’t realize I could get these key fobs at Amazon. Mine quit working a long time ago and the car dealer wanted too much money to replace it. This was a bargain and works amazingly well!
