It works... barely
It works with my Pixel 2 XL and HP Spectre x360 laptop, but only barely. On the laptop, it takes about 30 seconds to be recognized by the OS. I don't have that issue with other USB-C audio devices. On my phone it is recognized much faster.In both cases the audio is extremely noisy. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the DAC in mine or if this is how they intended to release it, but it is almost unusable at any volume especially low volume. The hiss is so bad, you'll hear more hiss than music.I'm also not sure about the durability of the cable as I haven't used it much due to the noise. It doesn't look like it would last long in a stressful situation.I'll likely send this back if I have time before my trip.
