Slow switching, does not work with all PCs
The video switching takes about 10 secs. With my Lenovo X1 it just does not work. The KVM seems to be emitting an interrupt storm causing the computer to, effectively, hang and become unusable. My display manager shows the external monitor flickering in and out of existence, and when it does see the external monitor the KVM does not see the higher resolutions. Now port 1 appears to have died completely

Excellent product, good value.
This device is one third the size and one quarter the price of the KVM which it replaced. It has solved two problems a) the video circuits on its' predecessor used to squeal b) the built-in audio chip does not suffer from hum loops like the multiple feeds to its' predecessor did. This means that I can avoid the trouble and expense of using digital audio everywhere. Things which could be better a) the USB hub is USB2, I would have preferred USB3 b) when I switch between monitors, there is a loud thump on the audio circuit. Overall, I'm delighted with such a cheap, compact and functional device.

Solid build, but with issues (Returned)
I have returned the KVM switch (quick and easy to do), as was below what I expected for the price:Pros: Solid compact build, functional design, very quick deliveryNotes: reasonable delay between switches (1-2 seconds), only USB cables included (no HMDI cables)Cons: initial intermittent lag in mouse pointer (may be due to display issues I had), check your HDMI cable compatibility (read up on it before buying, but I had to try 5 different cables before anything sort of worked), had to physically restart my shared monitor and reconfigure my desktop layout after each switch (once I'd found compatible cable combinations).

Good spec and quality
Replaced a budget 2-1 HDMI switcher, much better quality, powered so no USB issues, now share one screen and peripherals between two systems and a laptop with a port free for future use. Three times the price of the one it replaced but well worth it. USB works, systems sleep properly. painless experience. Ideally would like a desktop (button) or IR remote but it's not huge so not a massive loss as you can mount it in either orientation and lose very little space..

almost perfect
Works perfectly with mouse, keyboard, HDMI (4k @60Hz) even the USB works with a webcam BUT the "mic in" doesn't work with my omnidirectional mic unless it's only pushed in part way. The mic works fine everywhere else so it's a problem with the KTM switch. It's an expensive item to have a problem like this that I might expect on something cheaper.

Neat design, somewhat limited functionality
I tested the 4KSW41-KVM HDMI switch with the following video sources.Dell XPS laptop with Intel HD 540 GPU and Dell DA300 docking stationDesktop with NVIDIA GPUNVIDIA Jetson Nano SBCChromecast Ultra 4KRaspberry Pi 4 SBCThe first three devices have DP interfaces besides HDMI 2.0; we focus on the latter as per the switch capabilities. I'm using a Dell 4K monitor. The dual-booting option on the laptop (Windows and Ubuntu 18.4) makes a total of six device combinations. All other devices run Linux (Ubuntu, Raspbian, Android). The switching time from one screen to another is around five seconds. The last two devices are ok---so far, they work as expected. The other devices have various problems that manifest while switching back and forth via the KVM.The laptop does not recognize the monitor with the KVM switch in the HDMI path. Instead, it reports xxx 32" in Ubuntu 18.04 and HDMI TV Device in Win10 Home Ed. The maximum resolution in HDTV (1920x1080)This low res creates various problems in my setup. While the Jetson does recognize the monitor, switching back to it makes it lose the screen scale configuration. The same happens on the laptop.Besides the USB for keyboard and mouse, this KVM also comes with a dual-jack audio port. The headphones and the mic require different plugs. The audio output is not stereo, but instead, it mixes both channels and provides the same signal to both speakers. It could be useful, for example, where one trades channel stereo quality for redundancy (e.g. YouTube video with sound on one channel only). You will need an appropriate multimedia configuration to make this audio device the default choice while switching from one computer to another. Finally, in its current version, this KVM does not support keyboard hotkeys operation. All in all, it makes for a tidy desk experience. Can be a good investment depending on ones use case.

Great switch, terrible USB cables!
I've been looking for a good value HDMI KVM for some time and I'm pleased to say this fits the bill perfectly. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and the performance has exceeded my expectations in most cases, it is used to switch between desktop PC, work laptop, Raspberry Pi 4 and Playstation 3 with a HD monitor. Picture quality is spot on, not discernable difference to having the machines directly connected to the monitor. The only issue I have encountered is constant disconnecting/connecting of the keyboard and mouse when using the laptop but this seems to be related to the quality of the USB cables supplied with the unit and was resolved by replacing with a higher quality cable. All in all very pleased but loses one star for the poor quality cables supplied.
