This kit of clay tools is great for smaller projects They are perfect for sculpting pins and miniature figures with clays and adding small details to larger pieces. I've been making do with repurposed items for shaping so this set is a treat. I can use a pencil grip on most of the tool handles to build out the diameter for a better grip and less hand fatigue as my hands are perhaos older and larger than those the set was designed for. The zipped carrying case is a nice bonus.

I had bought some polymer clay a few months ago and tried making a few things out of it using a variety of makeshift shaping tools like forks, knives and spoons from the cutlery drawer, skewers and a pencil. I did the best I could with that stuff, but the results were less than satisfying. After receiving this 25 piece clay tools kit I got the polymer clay back out again and took another stab at sculpting some figures. The sculptures came out better than my original attempt, but to me the real value in this kit was how creative it felt to have this comprehensive array of tools to use and the potential they offer, limited only by my imagination of ways to use them. The kit has a wide variety of different types and styles of tools in an assortment of shapes and sizes as well as a convenient storage case to keep it all together. The tools are good solid build quality, not cheap junk. They feel good in the hand and are comfortable to use. These tools now have me thinking beyond the simple basic items I was making to begin with and I'm now trying to sculpt more complex 3D figures. I like this clay tools kit very much. I think the tool set is comprehensive, they are very good quality and easy to use. I consider the kit a good value.

This kit has basically everything you need for basic clay work, and it’s been nice having it all in one zip case. The wooden tools are solid and smooth–no splinters or rough edges–and the metal loop tools feel sturdy enough for trimming and carving. The silicone shapers have a good balance of firmness and flex for smoothing seams and pushing clay around without leaving deep marks. A couple of the smaller pieces are pretty lightweight, but for the price it’s a useful set and it’s held up well so far.
