Laundry by Shelli Segal Women's 3/4 Hooded Puffer with Faux Fur Trim

I needed a down coat after my old one hit the 10 year mark. Really wanted a maroon/wine color but randomly found a similar coat in this brand at TJ Maxx in dark olive color (so gorgeous).The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't detach the fur and they only had a size medium when I needed a Large. The medium fit well, but I would only be able to wear T-shirts underneath. I was bummed cause it was a great price and I could only find the size I needed online for more than double.I did find this exact coat at Century 21 in black so I was able to try it on in a large and it fit perfectly. Roomy enough to wear a sweater underneath but still slimming and form fitting. I really didn't want a black puffer coat because everyone has a black puffer coat in NY. Plus it was again double the price. LUCKILY I found this coat on amazon for an even better price (even cheaper than TJ), plus they had this coat in the original color I wanted. Port Royal is such a lovely color and the picture does not do it justice. Online it looks brighter and redder than it actually is. It's like a dark port wine color. I like the giant hood AND the fur is detachable!!! WIN WIN The fur pockets are a nice touch. Excited that I was able to find a great quality coat at a great price.

Cute coat. I would’ve ordered a small but it’s a little tight in the chest area if you have boobs above a C cup. The zipper is gave me a little trouble at first, and down isn’t super consistent (you can see where it’s settled if you hold it up to the light and look inside). But I think it will still be nice and warm and I like the material.

The hood, omg! I can fit a small village in there! hahaha! But that doesn't take away from the amazing quality of this coat! I love it because of how it is fitted, it doesn't make me look like I'm shaped like the abominable snowman, it is quite fashionable for a fluffy winter coat! And its incredibly warm! I want to snuggle up and take a nap inside those fuzzy pockets! LOVE this coat!

My daughter wanted this jacket and I was so excited when it came for Christmas but was so so disappointed when she opened it. Don't get me wrong - the coat is beautiful and exactly what she wanted. I ordered a medium and it said medium on the package, medium on the outside tags....but the tag inside said large and it's very big on her!! So disappointed - will have to exchange and hope to be able to get the right size this time!

I got the coat for my niece to wear as she walks across her college campus in the brutal winds of Nebraska. She loves it! Its warm and well made without being too bulky for her to have in class at her desk. The faux fur trimmed hood helps to keep the wind off of her face. The contoured waist line give her a nice profile so she doesn't look like the Stay-Puff marshmallow man. We originally found the coat at a department store but found the better price online so we even saved a few bucks.

The things I love:• The color is deep and rich, I have gotten compliments• Definitely well insulated and keeps me quite warm even when it's 20 degrees or less outside.• The fur trim is removeable• The pockets are lined with a soft synthetic material that reminds me of puppy ears, and keep my hands super warm in case I am not wearing gloves• Decent length, not too short• No belt! I am so tired of constantly tying and tightening belts on my coats!Things I don't love:• While I do like the style of an extra large hood, unless you are wearing a hat or remove the fur trim, the hood overwhelmingly obstructs my vision!• I am 5' 7" and weight 130 pounds, and the Medium definitely has plenty of room to spare around the waist. Was hoping for a more slim fit. Didn't want the small, because was afraid it may be too short for me.

The quality of the jacket is okay yet the hood is extremely wide in width and height. I've never seen a hood on a jacket that big. Returning it for this reason.

Giving it 2 stars because I loved it initially.Pros:-Very cute. Nice color-The jacket is super warm, and provides great protection against the New York winter.-The hood *is* way larger and heavier than most I've encountered, which allowed it to fit my big hair and stay put in the wind-Lined zippered pockets are warm and keep your things secureCons:-The big hood cut off all peripheral view, which can be dangerous.-It picks up stains easily. Each day, I'd wonder where the new stain came from. I never had that issue with my old coat.I was really happy with this purchase until today, when it ripped along the inner seam. I didn't have any sharp object near it that would've caused it to tear, and I've had this coat for less than a month. Seeing as I bought this coat to replace a coat that only tore after having it for four years, I was hoping this one would last at least that long, or even half as long--certainly longer than a month, though. Maybe I got a dud, but I will definitely be returning it.
