Game boy zero
Works great off 5v. Built a game boy zero with this display and it looks better than the bw screen

Received 2 defective units
Not much to say except they both did not work. Likely a bad batch. I'm experienced with electronics and components and have used other similar displays in the past with no problems. I've sent my 2nd back for a refund. Maybe others will be lucky, but I'd recommend a different screen as long as it fits your project. I only originally selected this unit for the small footprint of the driver PCB.

Works with a Sega Nomad, but quality control is a concern
I used this screen to replace the old worn out factory screen. This one is definitely higher quality than the original screen even when the nomad was new, but it also comes with a risk. You may get a bad unit, you may not. Mine has a stuck pixel which isn't too bothersome for me, but it may be for others. I would try to exchange it, but I already did a lot of soldering to it (see below), so even if they would exchange it, it would be a lot of work. Hopefully it becomes unstuck after a while. This screen has a DC to DC buck converter on it which is far more efficient (and probably safer) than the linear regulator the nomad uses. I removed the linear regulator and bypassed it with the output of this converter. The screens circuitry basically powers the entire nomad now. This makes it much more efficient. I highly recommend trying it if you know your way around a soldering iron. There's videos online of how to do it.
