Better than coring with a knife
It works. Can be a bit fiddly and needs to be used a couple of times to get the best out of it. I would have liked the 'handle' part to be slightly more substantial as you are turning the corer to extract the centre of the tomato. I find that the openness of the handle area hinders smooth twisting of the corer (maybe it's just me). However, in comparison to coring tomatoes with a knife, it's better. You lose less tomato, and the tomato when cored, still looks like a tomato - which is more than can be said occasionally when I core with a knife!
