Awesome addition to a classroom
I used these in my classroom when teaching Fahrenheit 451. I have a few students who are learning English or don't feel very confident in their reading skills, and these were amazing to have on hand for those students. They were able to follow along with the class and felt like they could understand the story better than if they were reading the book. I'll probably get more of them for next year!

Teens love this version of the novel we l
I bought the graphic novel for one of my "reading challenged" students. When my other students saw it, they expressed interest in it. In the future I will use the graphic novel with my English 10 classes. Well done!!

Fahrenheit 451, the graphic novel
I think all of Ray Bradbury's stories are difficult to capture in movies. I think most of them have bombed. It's a shame that a writer that captures the imagination and illustrates it so well can't be translated into movies (so far). However, after reading this graphic novel, I believe Tim Hamilton was able to capture the visual magic of Bradbury's best novel in pictures. My message to younger people who have never read 451 (the book), but are picking up this graphic novel for the first time, need to read the book! Although this graphic novel is brilliant and works wonderfully as a graphic novel, it is abridged from the book. Since the whole subject of 451 is about the value of a book and it's ideas, the graphic novel should never replace the book, only add to its color and life! Have fun leafing through the pages of this great graphic version of 451!

the art is hauntingly beautiful
The story is not why I bought this but the art is what I most love most about it. I got a chance to read it years ago while i was going through a hard time and it really helped me forget how bad my life was in the moment. I never got a chance to finish the book and years after the afterimage of the pages still haunted me like a wraith in the back of mind but now that I bought it and finished it i'm really glad that I purchased it. The story itself is to the point and the moral is struck over the readers head, like a hammer strikes a nail. I personally like stories that the meaning is a bit more subtle as I like the writer to think that we readers are smart enough to think for ourselves, but that's just my opinion. It is overall a good read.

Different from the original novel but still great
I loved the novel when I read it so long ago, so was skeptical of the irony of making a graphic novel of it. I was astounding wished at how good, how contemporary and relevant this version is. Well worth the time. I would recommend it to younger readers especially, and even more to those who don't enjoy reading.

All Time favorite Book
Until i read this book in my 11th grade english class just 2 years ago, I HATED READING! When this book was assigned i expected to read the first 2 or 3 pages and then skim the rest of the book for answers to the questions. 2 pages turned into 3, 3 pages turned into 4, and 4 pages turned into the back cover. This book is perfect for this time period. In a world where we cant even trust anything our government(s) tell us, this book really opens your eyes. It is amazing to me how Bradbury wrote this in the 1950's as a Sci-Fic novel and it has basically become a biography of our time period. I guarentee you that 1.) when you start reading this book you will not want to put it down, and 2.) after you finish it, you will never look at the world the same way again.

Kinda short
Good, but too short I thought. Seems like they must have cut out a lot.

Ironic that this book is being banned in schools.
One of the best visual novels I read in high school, left a great impact on my awareness. Can't believe it's being banned, given what this book is about

Great work!
Amazing! So clear to better understand the story plot. Should be read in class instead of the novel. I couldn't put it down!

Better than you would expect
This is a fine example of how classic science fiction should be adapted into graphic form. Tim Hamilton's artwork manages to convey the dreary minimalism of Bradbury's nightmare world, without itself being both drab and prosaic. He is smart enough to leave large chunks of Bradbury's poetic dialogue raw and intact, while the artwork is so detailed as to do justice to the authors original lush descriptive language. I wish Tim Hamilton would do a whole slew of Bradbury adaptations along with some of the other sci-fi greats, yet I'm sure he has his reasons for not doing so.A superb story with a profound message, which can be enjoyed on many levels. I think any fan of the novel, would be pleasantly surprised by how lovingly and faithfully Tim Hamilton has reformed this master work into the graphic medium. Sublime and highly recommended.
