Better than expected...BEWARE when choosing which hand...
Beautiful bow !!! Better than expected actually. Great price for all the accessories it comes with too. I got this for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift and when we first fit the pieces together we noticed a gap, and tried pulling back the string to see how it was affected, we ended up taking it apart and put it back together and I guess bc of pulling on it before the gaps were no longer there the second time around. Also-- BEWARE when choosing which hand -- order for the hand you will be HOLDING the bow, I was under the impression you order based on your draw back hand. This was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend and is the second bow I ordered, because I originally ordered "Right" thinking of his draw back hand, not the hand he'd be holding the bow with. This bow, the second one, I ordered LEFT, bc he will hold the bow with his left and it is perfect ! Wish someone mentioned this when I scoured the reviews =)

nice and bare with no accessory attachment points (which is ...
The SAS Courage is comparable to the Samick Sage (which I also own). I did replace the string it came with, not that there was anything wrong with it, I just prefer a Flemish Twist. The bow cam, nice and bare with no accessory attachment points (which is exactly as I wanted it, simple) Once I dialed in my nocks, order some proper cedar and feathered arrows and put a bear hair rest on it, shooting off the shelf with this bow is more than enjoyable. As with any bow, you will want to customize this with some whiskers on the string (I used beaver fur) although, this bow at 55lbs is pretty quiet anyway. It's a good weight, not too heavy and not too light and is perfect for me at 55lbs (a weight I would not recommend for most if you are not hunting with it). I purchased a Samick Polaris for my wife at 35 lbs and she actually preferred my SAS Courage to the Samick.

Great price for a starter bow
I purchased this bow about a month ago and have since shot around 1000 arrows through it. It arrived undamaged and in appropriate packaging. The riser is gorgeous and sturdy, the arms were almost perfect but the top one didn't line up or seat properly. It's slightly off angle and there is about a 1-2mm gap where the arm screws in. This hasn't had any effect on the bows performance though, so I wouldn't consider it an issue. The string that came with the bow is a bit noisy but functions well and is showing very little wear so far. 60#'s is a hearty pull so if you're just starting out, you may opt for a lighter weight. Arrow velocity at full draw is great (I shoot at 15-35 yards) and the bow shoots consistently. The actual weight of the bow, not the draw weight, is also very manageable. I thought it would be heavy and difficult to control but it's really not. I was happy with the accessories that came with the bow and they too function well and are holding up well. For the price, and if you are just starting out, I would recommend this bow.

Great bow but 60 lbs is HEAVY for a newbie
Absolutely love what I got in the package and for the price it's unbeatable in my opinion. Only a little caution. 60 lbs is way heavy and even if I got to full draw I couldn't hit a bus because of the shaking and effort it took to hold the draw. Thankfully I found a 45lbs set of limbs for the courage on Amazon and paid the stupid tax and now I've got myself a beautiful, fairly quiet, and accurate bow even with my crappy newb shooting. The stringer works great but for newbs keep in mind its purpose is to bend the bow safely and evenly so the string can be placed without tension not to slide the string in place. Super happy with this purchase.

what a great bow
My son decided to take up archery and wanted a takedown recurve bow. After reading reviews on other forums we bought this bow. It is extremely well made and accurate. It's a good size and has very good accuracy. The kit it came with had many useful accessories.

Very happy.
Had an issue with the arrow rest but it was taken care of ASAP with no hassle great product and support. For those that don’t know the bow string has two different size loops the small loop cord on the bottom it will pop off if you string it onto the top.

I have had a lot of fun getting reacquainted with instictive shootimg
After many years of shooting a compound bow exclusively, I have had a lot of fun getting reacquainted with instictive shootimg. A great bow for doing it.

Very nice quality for the price. Shoots very well. I'm very happy with my purchase. Would of been nice if a quiver would of come with the package also.
