I deserve this......
I read the reviews and had a feeling this was a nice answer to my issue and finally had some free cash for a want item. Kind of pricey but it was what I needed on paper. I have the old style 3/8" poly lines and the fittings have an ID of maybe 3/16" at best so my second floor shower two floors above the well tank set at 50-70 does not provide enough flow for any shower head to work with teh exception of a chrome water miser I had previously. that is why I thought this might work as I upgraded to an Oil Rubbed Bronze shower kit but the head was large and no pressure at all. This item was available in the bronze so perfect. Anyway, you cant imagine how well this thing works, it is fantastic with low enough flow to allow a serious pressure build up and pulsating sensation to the spray. Nice product.....

Almost perfect
I REALLY wanted to give this 5 stars- maybe it even deserves that, and I'm being unfair. On the good side, it's SO good for a low flow shower head, that I measured the output because I COULD NOT believe it was only 1.25 gpm. Great water pressure, great coverage, easy to install, just a home run.On the not so good side, my unit wasn't quite 1.25 gpm. My measurements were not wildly scientific- I had my wife start a stopwatch while I stood there collecting water into a large measuring device. When I got to 4 cups we stopped the stopwatch and multiplied the time to check GPM. I found that it was spitting out somewhere between 1.3 and 1.4 gpm. For a unit marketed as 1.25, and especially when they sell another shower head marketed as 1.5, I found that inaccuracy a bit disappointing, and that is the sole reason for me removing a star.I want to be clear, this is a fantastic shower head, and if I could give it 4.8 stars, I would. But I don't want to give it a full five stars when it doesn't seem to quite deliver on the claim made. I still think if you want a shower head that is less than 1.5gpm, this is a terrific choice, and you likely will not be disappointed by the showering experience, so long as you go in knowing it isn't QUITE 1.25 gpm (at least in my experience).

fire hose!
I bought the 1.8 gpm unit. At $40 it's actually a bargain. This thing is a fire hose! Really nice, full shower experience and rinses off soap, shaving cream etc. fast. Also controlled spray doesn't veer off into wall or shower curtain or the out side floor.

I got the 1.25 gal/minute. Its great good water blast and yes it is tiny
I got the lowest water flow unit1.25 gal/minute and was a little scared it might be weak, it is surprising how well it works. I had a water saving one from another brand before this and there is no comparison. Excellent water blast and yes it is tiny, barely bigger than my chrome pipe. I do highly recommend this shower head.

Terrific shower head!
I ordered this product to replace a low flow shower head I was given years ago at an Earth Day event. The hard water in my area left deposits and it was working poorly. I received the order promptly. This shower head is robust, was easy to install, and produces a strong shower compared with the previous one, all while using even less water. I am a satisfied customer. Thank you!

Repeat Buyer
Bought the chrome version a few years ago, and have recently purchased the brushed version. Both units do their job, provide a defacto massaging action by the sheer force of water they put out, and have given no issues whatsoever.

Works Great, Bad Shipping
The shower head performs outstanding.Product was outside of box inside a bag and got banged around pretty good. I don't take showers with my contacts in, so I'll never see it.

Great feeling of water pressure
Installed in a low water pressure building and this shower head provides a feeling of high water pressure and volume. This is my third such shower head.

A BLAST OF LUSH, RELAXING, SATISFYING WARM SHOWER WATER!
We have a 130+ yr old very tall & narrow Victorian house with low water-pressure. And my husband is very environment-conscious who wouldn't even think of using anything but low-flow water-efficient showerheads. As a result, I couldn't have a satisfying spray of warm shower for years. Then one day I finally revolted: "Enough is enough! I deserve abundant warm relaxing perfectly warm water gushing out to rinse away the shampoo in my hair and suds from my skin quickly and thoroughly. No more of this wimpy dribbling lifeless lukewarm spatter!!"But isn't high-pressure AND low-flow showerhead an oxymoron?????Nope. After some online search I've found some showerheads claimed to be both. After having read dozens user reviews, I've decided to give this High Sierra High Efficiency Low Flow Showerhead a try.Boy, am I glad I did!! The installation was a breeze — just screw off the old showerhead and screw on the new one. Took me only a couple minutes. And the first time in many years, I genuinely enjoyed taking a shower at home!!!!!! It's not a trendy rainfall showerhead or has no variable massage sprays some people insist on, but it sure does a great job of blasting big drops of water with strong pressure while CONSERVING WATER! A guilt-free luxury shower!! I LOVE it!!!Made of solid metal and feels very well made. The ball-joint connection operates smoothly and very easy to change angles and directions as well. Highly recommended.

Went from squirt gun to firehose
I'm on a well which delivers water pressure anywhere from 25-45PSI, so good water pressure has always been a challenge. After much searching, I decided to replace the Delta Water-Amplifying shower head with High Sierra's WaterSense Certified 1.8GPM High Efficiency Low Flow showerhead. No comparison. Wow! such a HUGE difference.Rinsing off is no longer an issue! Water droplets are like raindrops, and the spray pattern is concentrated in the center -where it's needed most unlike the Delta which had a much more conical spray pattern where water was wasted spraying on the shower curtain & wall instead of on you. The High Sierra has a ball swivel joint where you can easily direct the water flow as desired. What you get is a shower that is like being deluged in a rainstorm, rather than a pins & needles-like experience. Sound level is average -and It is certainly not noisy.I wasn't entirely certain which flow rate model to buy. I will say this... I find that the 1.8GPM is plenty. Personally, I likely would have been happy with the 1.5GPM model, but having that "extra" flow rate keeps all family members happy, and I find that I now run the water at half, rather than "full blast" like I used to with the other showerhead.Build quality is superb -all metal components, and a high quality chrome finish (the model I purchased)Unless your pipe threads are in rough shape, you shouldn't need any teflon tape(not included). There is an O-ring which should be sufficient. I was able to hand tighten with no leaks.I am very impressed, and only wish that I had discovered the High Sierra and replaced my shower head sooner!

Good shower head but noisy
Loved the shower pattern but the sound of the water is appreciably louder than any other head I have ever installed. We have uninstalled this unit simply because it is so noisy. The noise is a low frequency roar that gets easily transmitted through the house. If our bathroom walls were better insulated we may have left it in but it doesn't work in our house.
