Knives of World War II by Silvey
If you collect or are interested in the knives used by our service men in WWII this is a must. Also M.H. Cole's book " The Best of U. S. Military Knives, Bayonets & Machetes " edited by Silvey will become a go to resource on WWII edged weapons.

beautiful picture book
This book, written by Michael Silvey, is a picture book of Military knives. It is particularly welldone. But, there is little data on the knives as to use, rarity, markings etc. It is not a collectors guide.I enjoyed it but have reservations about recommending it to anyone except those that are just interested in a picture book.Silvey is clear in the Preface exactly what the book is and is not. Great browser.

Four Stars
A decent starter book, but nothing really in-depth for the serious collector.
