Excellent product.
I was struggling with daily subcutaneous heparin injections following an operation. This really reduced the pain by keeping the buzzer and ice pack on the injection site for 3 minutes before injection and then holding it on the skin near the site during injection. After the injection I held only the ice pack on the skin for several minutes to reduce bruising. Also releasing the heparin as slowly as possible helped the pain

Brilliant👍👍👍
My 5yr old Grandaughter has juvenile arthritis & has to have a nasty weekly injection. She has gone from not eating because of stress & crying & for 3 days prior to injection, and a 1 &1/2 hr appointments required at the hospital, followed by vomiting for several hours. Now there is no stress involved, the injection takes a few seconds, and the nursing staff are very impressed. Brilliant!

Very good product
This actually does what it's suppose to, it seems to ease the pain of needles for my diabetic son. He is on a pump and a dexcom, He use to be ok with his needle changes, however,we started using the dexcom another type of needle to keep track of his blood glucose. After inserting that the first time (without buzzy), he cried for a while, and then would flip out every time we needed to change it. He even started giving us a hard time with his other needles, so it became very difficult when a needle change was due which is every other day. I had heard about Buzzy and decided to give him a try. It worked wonderful, it took a few times of use for him to realize that it was ok, he would just get worked up seeing them. Now he will sit for you with no problem. He will say ouch at times, but he doesn't fight, in fact he'll say, I'm ready daddy or mommy, depending on who is placing the needle. BTW, he is 2.5 years old.My only issue with Buzzy is, you will want to be careful and not drop him, and after having him for a month, he wouldn't turn on anymore, something wasn't catching when you pushed the button. However, we did call and they replaced him free of charge, no problems whatsoever, and so far, this one is working well, have had it longer than a month. I highly recommend this for anyone who is afraid of needles.

A Welcome Distraction
I was always the kid that got held down by my mom and the nurses when it was time for blood work or vaccinations… it was traumatizing and that trauma became a very real phobia (Trypanophobia) in adulthood. I was able to get a tattoo, get my ears pierced, even get blood work done on my inner elbow, but the thought of an intramuscular vaccine caused severe, blackout, tantrum-like & VERY embarrassing panic attacks. When the Covid vaccine was released, I knew I wanted it to protect myself and my kindergarten students, but I wasn’t sure how I’d be able to face the needle to do it. “You’ll be fine” or “it’s not that bad” or “you’ll barely even feel it” aren’t convincing when your fear is the concept and not the pain, so I kept putting it off. I thought I would wait for the nasal vaccine that’s in development. Then… my school district decided to make masks optional. None of the students at my school are old enough to be vaccinated, but are very much capable of catching/carrying the virus to myself or their peers. I felt like I was backed into a corner, so I immediately ordered a Buzzy and scheduled my first dose for the day after it would be delivered. The buzzy mini is as described… mini. It fits in the palm of what my mom likes to call my “baby hands.” There is a hook that holds the ice pack to the bee. The ice packs are plastic, so it would be very easy to sanitize and pass to someone else to use. The button to turn it on is on the top. It has an auto shutoff feature. It’s very cute and non-threatening, which is nice when you’re in a fearful situation. The morning of my appointment, I applied some lidocaine cream (didn’t work), took a prescribed sedative, and I brought the wings to my Buzzy in a bag filled with other ice packs to keep it frozen. After I checked in at the pharmacy, I hooked the wings on, turned the Buzzy on, and held it against my upper arm where I knew they’d be injecting me. When it was time for the shot, I slid the Buzzy up, looked away, felt a tiny pinch, and it was over. The part I was scared of - feeling the needle inside of my arm - was nonexistent. The vibrations caused by the Buzzy were enough to distract me from hyper-fixating on the jab.I put a lot of effort into conquering my fear and getting vaccinated, but I really don’t think I could have done it without Buzzy. It isn’t a magical cure to needle fear, but it’s a wonderful distraction and pain reliever. This will absolutely be with me any time I need to have a a procedure done. I could also see it being useful in the classroom for some of the smaller boo-boos that don’t require a bandaid or the nurse.
Buzzy comes with instructions, a set of reusable single-patient Softies wings, and batteries.
Directions
Place frozen wings under Buzzy. Activate Buzzy on pain site for approximately 30 seconds before procedure. Buzzy continues to vibrate during procedure. For injections, slide Buzzy proximal to site (\"between the brain and the pain\") when injection is administered.
Safety Warning
For intended use only. Use Buzzy only on clean, unbroken skin.
