American voltage and plug so had to buy an adapter. However it really is whisper quiet. All I can hear is the bubbles themselves.

Ich habe eine weitere dieser Pumpen schon seit Jahren in Betrieb - leise, zuverlässig - ich kann nicht meckern. Die austretende Luft im Aquarium ist jedenfalls lauter als die Pumpe. :-)

I am shocked how quiet the air pump is compare to the other ones I have tried I can Finally watch TV or listen to music and play games without hearing the noises from the air pump :) sadly the cord is very short and that’s the only complaint for it, I love how this product is made from Japan I did a testing of the pressure and it is to strong for my Betta so I will need to get a sponge filter, my fish loves to play with the bubbles :)

Another Winner...
Purchased this for my 75 gal. turtle tank. My other brand named pump was just ridiculously noisy, and I couldn't take it anymore. Powerful yes, but it had to go. The aPump is unbelievably quiet compared to the other. Like many will say, you hear the bubbles over the pump. Makes enough bubbles to satisfy my tank needs. Perhaps as the air stone matures, more bubbles may form, but like I said, it produces a good amount. I would have the old pump on a timer so Ned, my turtle was not disturbed at night. With this aPump, I can now let it run 24 hrs. a day. It is just that quiet. The electrical cord is not very long, and that would be my only gripe, but definitely not a deal breaker. Very pleased with my purchase so far. Came with a limited 3 year warranty too.
