These come disassembled so you have to insert and tighten the individual spikes, which is a bit fiddly but not difficult. Once done, they fix securely to your boots with the straps and are easy to use. A lot simpler than using a fork for the job, but if you have a large lawn I'd get a machine.

They do the job, even better if the strap locks held tighter, so don’t need to tighten up multiple times during use

I didn't have high hopes for these due to the reviews and photos of broken ones - but they're actually pretty effective. Assembly is a bit of a fiddle but not massively so, and putting them on is ok though the heel strap is a bit tricky. Best over wellies I found.Key things - the ground MUST be soft. It's not enough that the grass is wet. I did it after a couple of rainy days in November and the nails sunk in really easily under my average weight, and getting them out was easy.Secondly, you have to walk with your legs stamping up and down. Clearly they are relatively thick plastic with little flex, so if you walk normally you may well snap the heel off.Lastly, take a chair to the edge of the lawn and put them on there - if you try to walk in them over a patio or decking, you're gonna fall flat on your arse.Bonus - if you do it in the autumn, they work brilliantly to collect leaves off your lawn as you do it!!Limitation - I've got a smallish lawn and still had a good glute burn by the end. Wouldn't fancy trying to cover a large lawn in them.

I picked this brand as it had sold the most and was not the cheapest, I was not disappointed. well made and straps are good and do not loosen on their own. Used them twice after previous heavy rain for the past few days, this is a must - the ground has to be soft. A couple of straps started fraying at the ends but is easily dealt with by cutting back and melting edge with a flame.Just be careful when walking in these as some areas have more hold of the spikes than others when in the ground, some areas of thick roots I had to use my weight a bit more and this was like walking on crispy snow sensation, I weight 92Kg.

These are great especially for a hard lawn like mine,but beware instructions say wear a sports shoe,DON’T! You will break your ankle I used my extra sturdy Cat steelies and they help enormously. The over spikes are good quality and work.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great product, very prompt delivery and fantastic communication from seller. Sandals are well designed and make a boring job a bit of fun. I didn’t use them I just stood and watched and laughed! They do the job easily and with little effort. We have a heavy clay soil which is not easy to dig but the sandals coped well with it. The spikes go down to a good depth and drained away the boggy, marsh like grass I had after heavy rain. I can’t comment on how long they will last as only used once but pleased with the job they have done. They look sturdy - bearing in mind when I put the tent like pegs in for my washing line they all bent!

The shoes came well packaged and easy enough to put together. Ideally the straps would come already attached but no issues.I used the shoes twice and for some reason the heel has snapped right off on second use. The shoes do exactly what I needed opened up the ground so I could fertilise and water the ground but disappointed the shoes broke so quickly. Even went with a more expensive option thinking they would last longer
