After trying many Smart RGB strip controllers, I have found THE ONE.
As my title says, I have tried an absolute PLETHORA of these, and they have all had their own problems. Some of them either didn't want to connect to my WiFi at all (keeping in mind all of them require a 2.4GHz connection,) and some of them were completely off with the colour accuracy. This one for me is perfect. Colours were all spot on, it has a nice simple design, easy to set up, works with the usual power adapter (I have plenty of those,) and the bonus; it works with the Smart Life app which I have plenty of devices added to already. My Google assistant now works with all of my RGB lighting flawlessly. No more head aches, and no more tampering to get the right colour. (Happy me!)A quick note to mention: most newer consumer routers support both 5.0GHz and 2.4GHz WiFi connections. If you aren't having any luck adding the controller to your network, I'd suggest you double check that the 2.4GHz range is enabled. And if you still have no luck, try disabling 5.0GHz just until you have successfully added it. From there, you can then re-enable 5.0GHz. I managed to add mine successfully with both frequency ranges enabled.Highly recommend! I'm tempted to purchase a few more. These are certainly the best Smart RGB LED strip controllers I've come across.

Doesn’t seem to support WPA2 encryption, only WPA.
I have number of devices connected to SmartLife app but only this one cause problems while install. After many attempts it was showing connection error and was not connecting to my 2.4ghz router.I had to change encryption settings on router from WPA2 to weak secured WPA and only than device was successfully connected. Manual does say it is supposed to work with WPA2 but it doesn’t.There is no IR remote for this controller and one single button does no help at all.Lastly in app itself you can’t create useful automation. It allows you to turn it on/off and change brightness but you can’t set the color . Your custom automation will turn your LED strip with the last color you were using. If you want more advanced automations you will have to go through IFTTT and suffer some time lags.

Better Stability Than Magic Home
These little controller are awesome. I've already got a full set of magic home controller in the house, they've been okay however they are littered with connection issues and don't provide the highest brightness to the lights, however these ones are just the rest. Connecting to the smart life app service has done wonders. No longer is there connection errors due to the server being sketchy. These controllers also appear to provide a higher brightness and saturation compared to the magic home ones I've been using. The smart life app that these can be paired with is the most stable out of the cheap Chinese smart home tech sector we appear to have. Good controls in colour and schedules. The app being the best reviews wise on the storeLastly their not all that expensive, and for the superior quality they provide in both lighting and connection I recommend that you try these controller before looking at magic homes options.

Full Google home integration, bit of a fiddly set up
Product works great with Google home, which allows you to set brightness, colour and turn the LEDs on or off. There is no power supply in the box, so make sure you have an existing 12v for it to work with. The only real complaint is that the set up requires you to create a jinvoo account, which I didn't want to do for privacy reasons, the account to is needed however for the Google home to integrate the adapter into its ecosystem

Excellent and reliable.
Works very well. I used the Smart Life app as I use it for other devices. No problems at all. Much better and far more reliable that the cheaper Magic Home devices which go offline frequently. The only downside is the instructions for using the button to toggle through light modes aren't clear at all.

So Far So Good
I had issues with this initially, which was down to an incompatible light strip.Just trying a new one and so far so good.

Works well 😁
So far so good 😊, I wanted to get my led strip working with smart life app. This has done the trick and so easy. Even better is it works with my alexa turning them on and off and changing the colour. Very happy with this device.
