Poor bluetooth connectivity, one channel sometimes silent, tendency to clipping harshness
UPDATE (two days after writing the original review): I have discovered a flaw in the testing set-up described in the following paragraphs, and have accordingly raised the rating for the Wonsidary from one to four stars. Unfortunately, I have mailed the unit back to Amazon, and so am unable to retest it. The connectivity and one channel dropping out problems I encountered result in subtracting a star to give the four-star rating. While doing the original tests, I found a music track that displayed the sonic harshness more than others. After returning the Wonsidary, I experimented some more, and found that even with other BT transmitters, the sonic harshness can be heard though more faintly than with the Wonsidary. I randomly dropped the volume setting in the MS Groove music playback software from 80 to 50, while raising the volume on the BT receiver powering my earphones, and the sonic harshness disappeared. More such testing, and I concluded that setting the playback software volume to high levels was causing the Line Out of the DAC/Amp (Topping or sometimes iFi) to saturate the analog input of all BT transmitters, and resulting in some clipping overtones, though with the Wonsidary this effect appears more pronounced (although I am no longer subtracting any stars for this, because I cannot re-test).The ORIGINAL REVIEW follows: This product is part of a new generation of aptX HD capable transceivers with larger battery capacity, that has appeared over the past four or five months. Visually it resembles the Wsiroon (which I do not own), but that may not mean anything. Some pairs or threes of aptX HD products seem to be rebrandings of the same hardware.I tested the Wonsidary unit for a couple of hours on two separate days, and my experience is the opposite of what the three previous (five-star) reviews say. I tested only in TX mode, because that is my need. The Wonsidary has difficulty making a good BT connection. Sometimes it connects in SBC mode, sometimes in aptX LL, and only once did I get it to connect in aptX HD mode (which is the only mode I want, as I only need to listen to music not TV). Whatever mode the BT receiver indicated, the sound was always problematic, with sometimes one channel not coming through, and whether I heard a single channel or both channels, the sound has crackling-like harsh overtones for some range of piano notes and some pitches of the singer's voice, like a poor-quality radio speaker from the 1940s or 1950s that is deliberately used in movies to show the time period. The poor sound quality is not affected by distance from the transmitter to the receiver, and is present even when they are a couple of feet apart.I checked each time that the 3.5 mm audio cable was firmly pushed in all the way. I was driving FLAC files on my computer ripped from CD, through USB and a Topping dac/amp to the Wonsidary. I switched the 3.5 mm cable, I switched the dac/amp to a iFi nano DSD black edition, I tried pairing with each of three different aptX HD receivers (EarStudio ES100, A&K XB10 and FiiO BTR3), clearing the device history each time, and always getting problematic sound and often connectivity issues. As a control experiment, I switched out the Wonsidary and used four other BT aptX HD transmitters instead, one at a time (a CHGeek, an Anker, a BlitzWolf and a DigMall). All of the other pieces of audio equipment function well with each other, and deliver good aptX HD connectivity and sound. I concluded that the particular Wonsidary unit I got is flawed, and plan to return it to Amazon.

Works perfect! Turns on with Alexa
So I have a DAC, 2 powered Studio Monitors a Samsung Smart Home outlet on a single powerstrip and a Alexa which (who?) is always on. I want Alexa to turn everything on and off by commando and needed a Bluetooth receiver that turns itself on. I tried a few here but all needed a manual button push after receiving power. This one is automatic, so it's perfect for my use case. So when I say "Alexa, turn Stereo on", Alexa turns on the DAC, the speakers, connected to the Wonsidary bluetooth transmitter and starts playing the last spotify playlist through the studio monitors. What there more to wish for ? I love it.Worked out of the box. Audio is fine.

Turn your old electronic equipments into wireless
I purchased this Transmitter Receiver to use it with my LED TV and old surround system. I used it as a bluetooth transmitter with my TV. I have options to connect my TV with this device by using either optical fiber audio or 3.5 mm Aux, and either ways I can hear good stereo sound quality on my Bluetooth wireless earbud. I can also now play my spotify songs on my old surround system via my cell phone when i use it as a receiver mode. This device holds charge for longer hours like 15 hours or more, and you can use it while charging as well. There is also no audio lag when you watch TV or movies. However, you cannot use this device as a transmitter and receiver at the same time. You can either select it as a transmitter mode or a receiver mode at one time. That means it will not work if you are planning to use Bluetooth for 2 old systems at the same time e.g transmitting old TV sound to old speaker system via Bluetooth

Good stuff
My little son frequently watch cartoons in living room. I’m a night worker. I need enough sleeping in daylight and I’m light sleeper, so I bought a wired headphone for my son. But the long cable always become messy and let him get hurt. So I get the Bluetooth audio transmitter from Amazon. It’s easy to use, the lights on the transmitter tell you what’s going on(charging, pairing paired).i charged it and paired with my AirPods, my son take on the light headset and I can sleep without spongebob’s screaming

Everything is good
The Optical TOSLINK cable may not be compatible to all TVs. I have to buy another one, then everything works well.

Great addition to stereo setup!
Very cool accessory! It does transmit and receive Bluetooth. The pairing during transmitting is easy to do. Takes two minutes. It can be charged while using Bluetooth!
