I got a bag of this jerky as a gift a while back and while I'm not a huge fan of fish, I was pleasantly surprised that this particular kind of jerky doesn't really taste much like fish. It's sweet and tangy and has just the right level of spiciness from the sriracha sauce it's coated in. I liked it so much I bought the three pack. Every time I reach for a bag I think I'll only eat a single serving (about half the bag) but I always end up combing the insides of the empty bag, looking for morsels that have not yet been devoured.The only downside is the cost. At $4/oz, this is unlikely to become a regular snack staple. Makes sense coming as an export from Hawaii, but the cost is somewhat prohibitive. Still, the joy of savoring it makes up the difference. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes unusual jerky flavors.

I give it a 5 for flavor, but a 3 for value - that's a lot of money for not much jerky. Also, there weren't any thick pieces, or at least not in the bags I've opened so far. Very thinly sliced and falls apart really easily - not what comes to mind when I think of "jerky". Very delicious, though!

Based on the description and most of the reviews, I expected to be pleased with this product, but unfortunately, the listing is misleading. It was waaay to sweet to be called a protein, with 11 grams of sugar per portion, while the package has 2 servings, keeping in mind that it weighs a total of 70 grams, it has more carbs than a fruit!!!I bought the (what I thought was plain) original selection. I couldn't eat it even after trying to wash away all the sugar. It was still too sweet.It may work for someone, but for me personally, I like to have my sweets and protein separate.

I ordered the peppered 3 pack. Tastes like it is actually teriyaki that has been peppered. I’ve made a lot of beef jerky in my time as there are only a select few brands that I actually like. They could bring the salt content up a touch and definitely could bring the pepper content up as well. Needs a little more pepper for my taste. When I make beef jerky I use soy sauce, louisiana hot sauce, and I pepper it very heavily on one side once I have laid it out on the tray. I don’t use any added salt other than the soy sauce and my jerky seems to be saltier.Please don’t get me wrong, this stuff is damn good! I would never have thought that Tuna would make such a good jerky. I wonder if you could take a cheaper fish like tilapia and do something similar? I’ll definitely order again.

Amazing! I got this in Hawaii and have been buying since. So good! Soft jerky with excellent flavor. You’d never know it was tuna. They make many flavors but this is my absolute favorite!

I've bought a number of Ahi Tuna and Marlin products from "Hawaii Snacks" over the last couple years and have always been really happy.those other products are generally a mixture of thick and thin pieces, chunks in irregular shapes, some sort-of-squarish pieces that look to have some kind of mill or tool marks (like, regular stamps, maybe of a tenderizer hammer or something?) - some pieces super-moist, some the opposite. some taste extra-strong of marinade, others don't. I find all this variety a good thing.I had been meaning to try the Warrior one for a while, and finally got the chance. I guess I was expecting something along the lines of the other Ahi products, just differently flavored.but this is something completely different. maybe unique. the only flavors I get are (delicious-)fish, salt, and smoke. don't really taste the garlic, ginger, or red or black pepper.also there is nearly no moisture - not dry but definitely chewy. not a bad thing. (and who wants to be paying extra for water anyway?)very strong and not exactly a jerky for every-day.

Very expensive for the amount you get....
