Decent piece of kit
Ok. So we're in what feels like week 40 of lockdown and I got fed up of people looking at the side of me from my laptop. Bought this for a couple of reasons. I initially ordered a Logitech C920. After weeks of waiting there was no sign of it coming into to stock.Anyway, I looked at some reviews of this on YouTube etc. and thought it looks actually better than the Logitech. Also it has a threaded connector of the tripod. Handy if you're a YouTuber and want to do some product demos. Unlikely, but I might give it a go some day. Plugged in and Win 10 and Skype for Business instantly recognise. Just change your inputs inside your collaboration weapon of choice and off you go.Positive points:* Nice sharp well exposed video capture.* Decent build quality. Nicely weighted. Decent length of USB Cable. Padded clip for the top of monitor/laptop display.* Standard 1/4" 20 TPI Tripod mount* complete with legoman toilet seat. Er. No. Wait. It's a lens cap. Can be fitted optionally. Does remind me of a toilet seat though.Negative points. Only two:* A bit of barrel distortion towards the outer corners. Fairly typical given the wide angle typically needed for a webcam. Some of the fancier ones have better optics / correction for this.* Audio capture isn't brilliant. Partly the acoustics in my room and only marginally worse than my laptops mic. I actually appreciated that more when I did the test from my laptop.Overall decent. Happy with it for the price and the fact I could actually get it. As for longevity, only time will tell. I see another on Amazon for ~£10 more. I couldn't find any real differences in Spec. So frankly I went for the cheaper one.

Great for video capture, not so good for audio
Great camera, good picture quality, works great, I've had it for two years now and still going strong. However, my complaint is that the mic has a delay, and isn't synced with the picture. This can be annoying as your words won't match your mouth on screen, and if using it as just a mic, you'll end up interrupting or crashing into other people's sentences because of the delay when you try to speak during a brief opportunity of silence.

Crisp, sharp, clear picture
Firstly, despite the circumstances currently prevailing, the order was processed quickly and efficiently. The outer packaging was sufficient for a safe delivery and the goods arrived undamaged. The instructions with the item could do with an upgrade to account for the latest computer operating sytems as there have been changes over time. That said I'd no problems with connections once I connected it up. Adjust your OS to allow for camera and mic and off you go. Nice sharp picture which hides nothing of the lines on my wrinkled old coupon (or face as it's known in English). The mic setting could be better BUT that may be down to me and my machine (I'm still playing with it). Overall a nice package.

Excellent picture, let down by sound
This camera provides an excellent image. Good colour, contrast, detail etc. Brilliant as a webcam, but let down by its sound which is frankly muffled. It was bought to be used in a multiple camera situation under lockdown for young people's work and so despite the poor sound I kept it as sound coming from other sources. Camera for video is excellent

Good for WFH
Camera quality is good, very clear. If you have a head phone and mic, this product would work. But the embedded mic is terrible. I gave up using it for video conference. Be aware that this product is not compatible with Windows Hello.

Good camera, bad mic
The camera arrived quickly in a no-hassle box. Literally plug and play on Win 10. Picture is brilliant, no complaints there. However, the kit is let down by the mic. The sound is clear, yes, but muffled. The first time I used it today for a (video) conference call, I got complaints that I couldn't be heard properly. Not good. I tried altering settings in Windows but no change. Tried two different laptops, Zoom, Teams, Skype. No difference. So if you want a good camera, then fine, But if you want a good mic, get a separate one. Considering that other reviewers have commented on buying this previously at half the price, I would be careful.

Overall good if you have a headset with a mic
I've been using this camera for interviews and its has served its purpose! The camera quailty is pretty good. I tested out the mic sound quality and was told I sound like I'm underwater but this isn't an issue for me as I wear a headset with a mic!

Microphone is weak
Purchased to use with a desktop that has no camera or microphone. The camera is very good, but the microphone is disappointing, indeed I would say it is unusable. It only manages to move the sound monitor by one or two bars, provided you speak loudly. I have now tried it with 3 different computers (Mac and Windows), all with the same effect. Have been using the camera with a laptop in place of the built in camera and the picture quality is significantly better so it wasn't a complete waste of money. Just a shame about the microphone.
