Cookbook that's a keeper
I wasn't expecting this to be a small cookbook -- a little more than 7"x5" but it's choc full of recipes, well, 100 as the title suggests. What I was really looking for was an Asian cookbook with delicious recipes that are easy to follow, with easy to obtain ingredients, and pictures of EVERY dish. This book delivers just that. He uses the British equivalent for some of the ingredients, e.g. mangetout for snap peas, aubergine for eggplant... but that's fine with me.

Make it yourself!
If there is not a good Chinese restaurant nearby, let Chef Ken Hom's easy recipes help you out. A trip to an Asian market for 8 - 10 items will take you thru most of the recipes. Pick up curries, hot pepper, dried mushrooms, fish sauce....and stick to the recipes - they really are easy, and taste great. Hom's recipe for sesame noodles has floated around family and friends for years, so I finally got some of his cookbooks - sorry I waited so long.

Simple and practical
The recipes are simple, the book is well edited. I highly recommend it. The onlly but is the list of ingredients, some of which are hard to find in my country. Overall, a good buy.

Yes!
Yes! This book is packed with recipes that are tasty, with ingredients easy to buy. They are not weird pieces of food, wondering where on earth I can find them. They are also inexpensive, making the meal affordable. Well worth the purchase.

Small size makes it hard to read and cook from
I love Ken Hom and have 2 of his cookbooks, so I bought this for my mom, who is 79. The book is very small and so the writing is small and that makes the book difficult to use in the kitchen. The dishes are repetitive - once you understand the basic sauce there is slight variation on that theme. Better to get Mr. Hom's Complete Chinese Cookbook.

Colourful plates for each dish, well set out and suitable for ant level of expertise
My first cookery book for Chinese dishes was a Ken Hom, written some 40 years ago. Many of those recipes are ingrained, so I was really interested to see whether this little book would add to my knowledge. Wow! It's a little cracker. So many recipes, very easy to make with full instructions and ingredients. This is suitable for anyone new to cooking Chinese style; it explains ingredients and flavours and the dishes are seriously tasty and easy. Love this book which has refreshed a lifetime interest in healthy and tasty Chinese food.

Squint size font and squished line spacing
If you struggle reading small print, I do not recommend this book. The book itself is about the size of an iPad mini. Then, when you open it, the font size is very small (ingredients lists and methods appear to be equivalent to size 8 or 10 in a Word doc). The spacing is also compressed, which makes it is difficult to follow the methods and not lose your place. I feel like I need a magnifying glass to read the recipes. But if you’re looking for a lightweight and portable book and you do not mind small print and a busy page or have superhuman eyesight, this would be a good choice. Can’t say whether recipes are any good because I returned soon after it arrived due to its ‘microscopic’ font size.

Not Impressed at all
When you think Stir Fry you think nice and simple, honestly most of the recipes in this book are overly complicated need very niche and specific ingredients that drive up costs, this is self indulgent crap for chefs not for the average joe, This book is more of a record of the dishes that the chef can accomplish instead of something practical for the rest of us to do.

Quick easy meals
Small and compact book. I have tried several recipes but my favourites are sesame chicken, chow mein and egg fried rice. Delicious. Simple recipes to follow, ingredients easy to find and includes pictures so you know what it should look like! Very pleased with this little book.

It is what it says it is.
It is what it says, 100 stir fry recipes . They seem a good selection and the recipes are well written with good photos .They are split into 6 sections, shown with an index at the beginning , with a detailed index at the end. There is no introduction or comment about how to stir fry, so if you need this this is not for you.
