Ray cook, a passionate golfer, inventor, and engineer, created his first PUTTER, the M1, in 1963. The M1 PUTTER brought with it a PGA Tour victory. The wins kept coming, and Mr. Cook's putters continued to grow in prominence and recognition. The unprecedented precision Mr. Cook introduced to Tour players continues to this very day in the Ray cook brand. The silver Ray Series putters have all the technology and know-how that you have come to expect from the legendary Ray cook name. The rich charcoal gray finish reduces glare while the bold lines and dark undertones improve set-up and alignment. All putters have a slightly heavier head weight which promotes a solid, accurate, pendulum stroke resulting in more perfect distance control while the soft mid-size paddle style grip improves comfort and feel. The silver Ray Series offers an affordable array of models catering to a wide range of players and the new Red/white/black color scheme makes these putters stand out. The silver Ray Series putters are a timeless classic revamped for the modern golfer. Specifications new styles striking black finish with Red and white detailing mid sized grips head cover included.

No reason to buy expensive putters for beginners and weekend golfers!
They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery. If that’s the case, this silver ray putter is REALLY flattering the Spider. The loft and lie are identical (3* and 70* respectively). The only difference is that this one is ever so slightly heavier at 360grams rather than 350grams. I held this and my friend’s $200+ spider (almost $300 new) and could barely tell the weight difference. The weight is distributed well, and the grip it comes with is a very nice size. Think slightly slimmer than SuperSoft. It has a decent head cover that I don’t think will last too too long, but still a very nice touch. Now for what you care about...how does it play? For me and my friends who’ll shoot in the high 80s and 90s, we couldn’t tell a difference in performance when we were testing out on the putting range vs. the spider. The Spider certainly had a softer feel and more solid sound off the face, but we made around the same putts from everywhere we tried. All in all, if you’re a beginner and not brand conscious, do not hesitate here. Even if you aren’t, and simply want a new putter without forking over a couple hundred yet again, this is a solid buy. Nothing makes putts for you, but the weight here definitely helps with pace and is far better than blade putters for those of us shooting in the high 80s+.

Good Replacement putter.
Nice replacement of my Ping Anser 5 and a lot less than the Taylormade putter.I’ve been practicing now with this putter for 30 day using my practice green with 2 cups from 12 feet out. Using both the Ping Asnet 5 and the Ray Cook SR500 and after 33 years with the Ping, I’ve decided to put it away for good. All I can say it the putter is well balanced and the ball comes off the face rolling well on line to the cup.The only con it does have a cheap paint and it chips easily and many said this in reviews.

Fantastic balance and feel
I bought this on a whim to replace my aging taylormade blade putter and boy am I glad I did! Its balanced beautifully and feels wonderful through the stroke. I'd say it should be 4.5 stars not 5 due to a small paint chip that came off during my first round with it. Fortunately that chip hasn't grown and no more have come up since (after about 10 rounds). The lines painted behind the putter face make it incredibly easy to line up putts which built my confidence on the green. It's shape reminds me of the starship enterprise for some odd reason lol; but it's lowered my number of putts per round which is the most important part!

Awesome putter! You will not find a better deal!
Received my putter today and it looks like a pro's putter!!! It has great feel and I can't wait to get out on the course with it. I am super pleased! I have now used this putter and it is awesome. My putting has improved greatly and almost never three putt anymore. I have received so many compliments from other players and they are amazed when I tell them it's not a Taylor Made Itsy Bitsy Spider for $200.00 dollars. Again if you like that style putter you can not go wrong with this putter. I absolutely love it.

Sometimes you get more than what you paid for
Watching more and more PGA players bump up their game after switching to the Taylormade Spider putter I decided it was time to see if it was a game changer. After seeing the Taylormade price, WTF and never mind I thought. But Amazon showed the Ray Cook Silver Ray putter at $40. True, this is a knock-off putter and it could be a complete waste of time. But I thought I'd give it a try, after all if it was terrible I'd return it. This putter is fantastic. The weight, balance, feel and putt alignment are awesome. I love this putter

Has some merit but....
Pro - Has a decent sound on ball strike. Ball comes off the head fairly faster than with any of my other putters. Is light weight and good balance. Center balance is accurate. Look good.Con - Grip was installed off center. The shaft was installed a tad crooked. Paint easily chips. Putter face easily pits. This club has some merits however is offset by the person who assembled it and the easily marred surfaces. This club could be good for someone who is less demanding and wont spend big money on the higher priced look-alike. No doubt many who have purchased this one are quite pleased and I may have received the odd ball. Still it's worth 3 stars because it shows some promise. A little more quality control at the factory could make this a nice club.

Ray Cook Putter is a nice quality look for the price. Looking for good things from it
Looks great..Excellent value for the money. I haven't used it on the course yet. I have been putting on the rugs at home. I feel you can't go wrong with this. I have an Odessey mallet type putter now. It's kinda beat up over the years but I have had good success with it. I like the feel of the Ray Cook. It came with a real nice cover and the grip is a pistol type very nice. I'd say those two things alone would 15.00 to 20.00 dollars by them self. 35.00 for a putter is a good price. I couldn't afford a taylor made putter of the same type look. I will get back to you after I use it on the greens.I 'm playing Saturday but I don't want to break it in then. The 4 stars is because I haven't put it to game day conditions yet. I'm a 20-25 handicap player. I did see the reviews of the paint chipping off that does bother me. Because the price is so low. Nice looking putter. Hope this helps with your decision to buy or not to buy. Take care

Tried putter out as it looked like the expensive ones that the Pros use
Tried putter out as it looked like the expensive ones that the Pros use. It has worked out very well and I am now using it rather than my Taylor Made Rossa. Would have put five stars however there were a couple of small bumps in the non sweet spot of the front which does not bother me and I decided not to send it back. Suggestion would be to offer a larger grip. The one that comes on the putter was oversize, however I would like to have even a larger one.
