Fly Line Backing Backing is an essential piece of gear, normally made of dacron or braided polyester, the first layer of line you will put on your fly reel. be aware of spool
I dropped spool while threading backing line through rod ! Flimsy 2pc spool fell apart, what a birds nest. salvaged the fly line itself. had to take scissors to leader and backing line. Took 1 1/4 hr to uncoil and remove knots!! Not a good way to spend an evening on the stream bank. A simple sticker on the line box could prevent this from happening to others.

Excellent, affordable fly line
You can overpay by far for fly line, but the Croch WF5F definitely delivers. I initially bought a Rio line (well-known to the market) for a custom fly rod I purchased. When my brother got interested in joining me, I wanted a way to introduce him to the sport without breaking the bank. This line paired well with an Eagle Claw Black Eagle fly reel. It casts smoothly and floats. I expect it to last for a couple years, but wouldn't be surprised if it's life is longer than that!

Facepalm to us both*
When I took it out of the box I noticed the plastic spool was wobbly, upon trying to figure it out it slipped from my hands and became a blob of a mess. Had a trip planned for this evening. Not anymore.

Great, inexpensive option for almost anyone.
This fly line is extremely inexpensive, but I have caught many native brown trout using this line and the included leader on an inexpensive 3wt flyrod build I put together with Amazon buys. It has been about a month and a half since purchase and I am very pleased with the fly line. I would buy again. The water I fish in is a tail water with consistent 50-60 deg F water, no line coil or memory issues. If you are wanting to brag about how much you overpaid for your light 3wt flyline stick with a RIO Avid or Prestige option, all others buy this with confidence.

Best Budget Fly Line + Backing
As a beginner fly Angler I needed a affordable, yet durable fly line & backing. Looking at different brands, I found croch. I have it paired with a Maxcatch ECO Reel & it casts like a DREAM. Couldn't ask much more for fly line & backing under $15!

Great price but hard to cast
Great price but hard to cast, line does not flow easily. I bought the 7 weight for my 6 weight rod. Other lines I have shoot out from the rod. This line takes effort and is tiring if throwing streamers and distance is compromised. I will return and buy a better line like Rio. But first will try coating the line with Armor all which i read is a good lube. Will report back

Excellent product!
Outstanding quality and the knots are very well done. Please note that the backing, floating line, and leader are all attached already. I was confused by the picture of the leader unattached and sent a query to Customer Service as I thought the leader was missing. It's all there! Spool it up and go fishing. What a great product at a great price!

extremely convenient to fill the reel.
marvelous to be able to take an empty reel and simply load the all-in-one backing-WFF line-leader combo in one quick two minute spin up. Wish I could find more like this in other weights I need. Good quality line performed well.

Great line
My first WF dry line, adds a good distance to my casting. Looking forward to giving it a workout on Tasmania's fastwater Trout streams next month.
