Armenia: Art, Religion, and Trade in the Middle Ages Hardcover – October 16, 2018

My wife and I had seen the Armenia Exhibit at The Met in October 2018. This book was for sale in the gift shop, but it was large and heavy. Perfect for a coffee table book, not something you want to have to take back on an airplane. I did a quick search on Amazon, found the exact same book... for $25 less than they were charging at The Met (bonus) and had it shipped to our home. The book was waiting for us when we returned from vacation and we couldn't be happier with the purchase. Highly recommend this book! The art is stunning, rich with religious history!!

I loved this exhibit a the Met, and bought this so that I could "revisit" the exhibit whenever I wanted to. It gives me the chance to read more in depth about the pieces and their history. I also bought a CD of Armenian music from the Middle Ages, similar to that played at the exhibit. It's really a wonderful experience to listen while I read.

This book was purchased as gifts for family members who were ecstatic over their copies! A beautiful coffee table book that is filled with fascinating historical information and tons of amazing photos and works of art. Worth every penny!

If you went to the Met exhibit, you will love the book. We spent almost 5 hours in the exhibit. It was powerful and so is the book.

Includes a great deal of content, Yerevan Museums etc also other Museums and private collections in the West.Armenia including down to VAN is bed to get as is products from Ani. The book covers various items and many illuminated religious literary works. Some church interiors sad to say mot many examplesNice book however

A beautiful book, definitely one that is going to stay in my family collection for generations. As an Armenian, I had lots to learn reading this, about Armenian history and the place of Armenia in the world. Recommend this to all those who want to learn more about Armenia!

A great book about one of the oldest civilisations on earth
