Balm, Sore Muscle Rub - 2 oz

I got this because I can’t use icy hot or any other menthol patches due to an allergic reaction, no matter how little I use, my ENTIRE body will turn lobster red because of the menthol. this was recommended as an alternative. It works great! It soothes without the burning feeling, the smell isn’t overpowering and I don’t turn into a walking blister!

Good so far! Warms to touch, nice mix of elements for smooth application. Muscles feel better right away!!

I have used Badger Balm products for years, and have tried their "Sore Muscle Rub" with good results. The product derives its effectiveness from cayenne, but also contains oils of rosemary, ginger, thyme, sage, cardamom, eucalyptus, peppermint, clove, and lemongrass. That's not a complete list, but gives people an idea of what to expect from the product. It is modestly aromatic, and is great for sore muscles due to injury or working out. Note that it doesn't provide instant relief, it takes a while to be absorbed and to begin to provide relief but I have found it works well for minor pain. You do need to be cautious about where and how you apply this as it does contain cayenne and when applied to the wrong areas can be extremely painful. Make sure you wash your hands well after use and whatever you do, do not touch your eyes after using this product.

Love this product! It helps so much with sore joints and I like the scent! The only thing that would make it better is if it came in a deodorant style roll-up container to make it easier to put on.

Just as stated, this natural ingredient rub came nicely package in a metal tin. The rub is solid at room temperature, but a little work with fingers warms it enough to be able to rub into muscles. The predominant smell of ginger is more pleasant than some of the drug store/locker room rubs. Not magic, but provides some level of comfort.

This works well. It's a good purchase.

Took a chance and the others were right. Doesn't work at all. Smells lovely but doesn’t make the area applied feel any different — that or my stress is so high that my outer layer of skin has created an impenetrable barrier rejecting relief of any kind. Bought some ginger balm in Indonesia that was sooo strong and relieving as hell so I had high hopes. This however… is not that. Guess I’ll have to go back or make my own. :(

I should’ve paid attention to the size- I assumed it was the same as my previous purchase and the container was the size of a silver dollar- super small and expensive.

Currently suffering sore neck and shoulders and can't drive etc. In trying anything for relief I've used a massage mat, ibuprofen gel, infrared gadget, wheatbag, gentle exercise and a massage ball but got a big surprize when I found this actually soothed my aches! I bought it because of the other reviewers good comments and it was delivered quickly which was a boon. Its something I'm going to continue to use. There's a kind of sensation on the skin after massaging it in and it has a really nice smell too. So many of these muscle treatments make you smell like a horse blanket but this one is rather nice :)

I have a chronic problem with an area between my middle lower back and my hip. Walking any distance aggravates it. I am sore and achy, in a very localised spot. I've been through physio, and I do specific exercises which are supposed to help ... but don't. I have no idea why this works, but it does. I suspect the cayenne in the rub stimulates blood flow, which in turn eases the pain. This particular rub isn't a cure-all. I have problems with arthritis in my hands, and the sore muscle rub doesn't help that. However, Badger has a cooling rub that does.

El paquete llegó en la fecha prevista y perfectamente envuelto. El bálsamo es perfecto para calentar los músculos y aliviarlos cuando están tensos (lo uso para la espalda). Aunque no da efecto calor, se nota más caliente y confortable la zona donde se masajea. El único pero es su pequeño tamaño, pero la relación calidad-precio está bien.
