Was a little worried this would be a gimmick with not enough putty stuff but actually super full of floam type stuff and the creature inside very cute and meant hours of fun on our long car journey. Really worth the purchase.

This has been a real hit with my kids (3 & 5). Getting a pack of two means they got one each and no arguing. They have played with it for hours!The foam was quite hard to get out of the pots and immediately starts to mix the colours together. If you are patient you can split them at this stage but we allowed ours to mix. Because it's made of little beads of foam you don't end up with a brown mix like with playdoh.It is less pliable than playdoh so builds are less intricate, but my kids have been very creative with it nonetheless. Having the little pet pals inside prompted them to make nests and caves etc for the animals and they have made gingerbread people, baked pretend cakes and so on. The beads are sticky to the touch but fairly easy to get off things they shouldn't be (I can confirm that they comb out of hair with a bit of patience!).My kids got a turtle and a dog and are keen to collect more, but I'm not sure how much playfoam we actually need as they've had so much fun with just these these two pots. But it's inexpensive so I expect we will buy more and it would be good as a stocking filler or a party gift.

Our youngest daughter enjoyed playing with this set. The hidden pets are likeable, but the fun comes from moulding the foam.It is good that the foam does not dry out. However, bits will break off and stick to textiles so it is more problematic than I expected. For a pet household like ours, it gives me more concerns than modelling clay.I will consider buying as a present for a child in future, but we will not be building our own collection.

I gave this to my daughter to review as she is the owner of twins - a boy and girl - slap bang in the target range of 5 1/2. They are in reception class at infants and have discovered creativity which is to be encouraged. Anyway, this review is from the expert in small people.Play foam is odd stuff and is strangely therapeutic to play with. The kids enjoyed moulding it into beds for the pets and rockets and all sorts. It is light and 'marshmallowy' yet kind of feels like it’s coated in chewing gum!Strangely, and cleverly, it doesn’t leave a residue on your hands. Don’t let this lull you into a false sense of security.Oh no.It gets stuck in fleece or pile and dressing gown sleeves are forever adorned with play foam bits. My Little Pony tails also sporting some rogue balls and I wouldn’t trust it in human hair either. Or carpet or anything that’s not wipe clean for that matter.It’s a cheap set. The pets feel comparable to a Happy Meal toy but then it is the ‘party’ version which suggests it’s a small and cheap gift/party bag alternative.I can’t see the play foam lasting more than 10 or so play sessions without getting covered in dust and losing stick (or indeed disappearing on sleeves and horse tails)A nice bit of fun but not something that will last a long time, probably reflected in the price.Now, I'm going to add a bit to this review from my daughter which I found highly amusing as an old bloke and seafarer to boot. The Bubs decided to make playfoam rockets....and you probably can guess where this is going now. Clearly small hands are not quite able to form the exact replica of Apollo 11 but perfectly able to create something perhaps a bit closer to home for us blokes. And once they had done so my granddaughter ran around the room waving her playfoam object around telling everyone she had made a willy. So beware. At some point your small child will naturally make a playfoam tube or rocket that looks a lot less acceptable in polite company, especially in front of your sainted ancient auntie....

As an adult I thought this was a load of rubbish. However, my 4 year old has happily spent the last hour (almost 2) playing with this weird foam stuff that I have never seen before. Its sticky to touch but doesn’t leave your hands sticky and inside the ball of foam is a little toy. My kids weren’t interested in the toy but just love this foam stuff so on that I have to give this a 5 star review.

Learning Resources EI-1966 Playfoam Pals Pet Party (Series 2-2 Pack) is a fun toy which has double the fun for the girls as they had the enjoyment of finding the toy within as well as playing with the foam which the small toy is hidden inside.These are great fun items and manufactured to a high standard.Good quality items which I am happy to recommend.

These are really cute when you pull then apart and find a hidden toy which you can collect. The beads can then be moulded and remoulded as many times as you like and are soft ch fun that I think this part is more fun than the toy inside.

Was advertised wrong so seller refunded me advert said 12 only got 2 blamed amazon for wrong information on advert

These things are great. My 5 and 3 year old play with these for large chunks of time, so it keeps them entertained. Best part is that the foam things don’t stick to fingers, so there’s no cleanup needed! Perfect for Easter baskets or a small gift.

Están muy lindos. Y es entretenido para jugar. Se siente como si jugaras con una alegría. El precio está muy bien. Y puedes volver a guardarlos en el mismo recipiente. Me salió de figura el puerquito que es raro. Esta muy lindo. Pero como que no está bien hecho porque se cae fácilmente.

Questa pasta da modellare è un'ottima variante rispetto al solito pongo: è costituita da tante palline, proprio come quelle del polistirolo, tenute assieme da una sostanza collosa, che però non sporca e non si attacca alle mani. La pasta può essere spezzettata, modellata e ricomposta, per creare tante simpatiche forme, anche se è un po' più dura e più rigida rispetto alla classica plastilina. Le creazioni ottenute non si seccano, è possibile ripetere il gioco a volontà, anche se come il pongo, questa sostanza cattura peli e polvere, quindi tende un po' a sporcarsi con il tempo. La consistenza particolare della pasta la rende anche un ottimo antistress per adulti. La particolarità di questo gioco è he all'interno delle due palline di pasta sono nascosti due animaletti, non è possibile sapere in anticipo cosa si troverà, in teoria ci potrebbero essere anche due animali identici dei dodici disponibili. Mi preme sottolineare che è anche possibile staccare la testa dal corpo dell'animaletto e riattaccarla ad un altro, per dar vita a nuove straordinarie creature! Io all'inizio ero un po' scettica, ma la mia nipotina di 45 mesi apprezza molto il gioco, le piace maneggiare questa pasta fatta di microperline. Il prezzo, circa 14 euro al momento in cui scrivo, è forse un filino alto, sarebbe giustificato se si sapesse a priori quali animali sono contenuti nelle due sfere all'interno delle quali è possibile conservare la schiuma modellabile; mi sento comunque di consigliare caldamente, il gioco, è assolutamente da provare. Spero che la mia recensione sia utile a futuri acquirenti.
