The performance for the price earns it 4 stars. It worked great out of the box. Glass quality is crystal clear. Easy to install. I've replaced the screen on my iPad multiple times (due to screen crack). I have replaced the screen on this iPad multiple times, every time due to dropped/cracked screen.What makes this product unique is that it is the only one so far that I must replace, not due to a crack, but due to a dead zone in the middle of the screen. With only 4 months of use, the affected area became unresponsive to touch despite there being no visible damage to the glass. I underestimated the annoyance and inconvenience this would cause (cannot enter a screen-unlock PIN, cannot launch any apps that are in the middle of the screen, all critical functions and inputs that use the center of the screen do not work).

Adhesion will not stick. Reheated with heat gun a second time. The side with the main connections keeps coming unglued. The whole process for repair is much more complicated than an iPhone. With my particular shatter, my touch/ home button was damaged, so I was forced to use the home button with this replacement screen. Touch recognition does not work with the replacement. Apple would need to fix that problem. Once again, Apple has got ya!
