Good
We buy this for our "normal" batch of 30lbs of crawfish. Everyone likes it, not too hot, but has plenty of flavor. Try it in your beer. It's good.

Love this seasoning
My go to when doing a shrimp boil. Follow stale cracker’s method. Perfect every time.

Pro Boil = Yum Yum Yum
Yum yum yum. I never heard of this before until I wanted to re-create the Boiling Crab Cajun flavor experience at home and did an online search to figure out how. (That restaurant had the audacity to charge $25 per pound on dungeness crab citing **market price** when my local grocer is selling live crabs for $7 per pound. Good thing I only ordered 2 crabs without knowing what market price was...but it was a $100 mistake I will not make again!). Anyway, back to my Boiling Crab DIY story...some online tips recommended that in addition to re-creating the sauce at home, to also boil the seafood with seafood boil first. I didn't know what seafood boil was, but I knew Amazon has everything and sure enough Amazon came to the rescue. I bought this based on the excellent reviews and had it delivered to my doorstep. Yes! No need to wander the aisles of the supermarkets searching and asking for this. I have used this twice now and I think it imparts terrific flavor to the seafood before they get dunked in my homemade Boiling Crab Whole Shebang sauce. When I don't want to go through the trouble of making the separate sauce, I am happy to just boil my seafood in this (according to instruction). De-shell the critters and dunk in melted butter. YUM! Note that I boil my seafood and take it right out. But the instructions tell you to leave your seafood soaking in the boil water for longer for stronger flavor. In my opinion, I think you can follow directions the first time and once you figure out how to use this, just do what you like. Anyway, the product is great and you cannot beat the price on Amazon. I paid $5 thanks to Subscribe and Save and when I opened the box, HOLY MOLY, I was amazed as the size of the canister. If you use this according to instructions, you should be able to boil: 50 lbs. of shrimp - OR - 40 lbs. of crayfish - OR - 5 dozen dungeness crabs! I don't know if I will ever eat that much seafood in my lifetime...but I'm going to try. I saw the 4 oz. Zatarain's liquid seafood boil at my local supermarket for $6. This is at least 12 times that in volume. If you're big on seafood, you'll probably want to go with this.

Zatarains Pro Boil
Very tasty. Very spicy. Powdered spices. Blended well. Nothing to clean up (like spice bags). The jar will do about 1 and 1/2 jumbo boils. If you're doing a small size - you'll get more out the jar of course. We use a super huge pot and cook over 40 lbs of shrimp, potatoes, sausage and corn on the cob at one time. It smells good, tastes great. I am thrilled to have found this stuff and will purchase again. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. I am a verified purchaser - not a paid reviewer. I have been doing honest, trustworthy reviews for well over 25 years with Amazon - posting thousands and thousands of reviews - which have been viewed over 8.2 million times to date. I am NOT a fake reviewer. BOTTOM LINE: I pay for ALL my stuff, just like you do - with hard earned dollars!

The best seasing for a Low-Country Boil
I was trained on Low-Country boils by a Louisiana born Cajun. I must have followed his recipe for many boils and it is always great. It’s a Friend and Family favorite. The Zatarain Pro Boil is the key element to these boils and remains a consistent product over the last 15 years. I highly recommend.

Great flavor!
This boil has great flavor and is just a little salty for our taste. We add a little less boil to the water to cut back on some of the salt.
