Wow, everything Lisa touches turns to something special. The book makes you feel like her close friend. Lisa is so gracious and down to earth. Her ideas, recipes and entertaining style show how easy it is to have company and make everyone feel special. Great LADY.

I enjoyed Mrs. Vanderpump’s writing. Her recipes are exceptional. The advice is well thought out and very helpful. I would loved to have seen more pictures, but the book is very long and informative.

Lisa Vanderpump has a life as o.t.t. as her surname thanks to the fabulous fortune she's made with husband Ken via their trans continental restaurant empire (an empire begun in her home town London, now flourishing in LA). This book is quite a treat for fans, who've come to know and love her wickedly witty ways and quirky family/friends after 2 seasons on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Here she shares family recipes and secrets for perfecting delicious English dishes along with tips for too-fabulous-darling designs and the sort of overly polished presentation you can actually still impress guests with. She also sweetly shares her thoughts on family and her love of animals (specially dogs - if you can call scene stealer Giggy a canine...bit of a stretch). My only criticism is that the book is just a little too beautiful (and chocolate box pretty) so it can feel a little contrived at times. It's unfortunate because under all that shiny Americanised perfection - Lisa Vanderpump remains truly English in one vital way: she can still laugh at herself and all the glitzy madness of Bev Hills. OK she's gorgeous inside and out - but more than that - she's a character with a generous spirit, so why not enjoy the fruits of her too-divine life and make her even richer by getting the book.

I'm half way through the book, and have already found several things I will be implementing into my own life. Watching RHOBH for the last two seasons, I found myself quite drawn to Lisa. Naturally, I purchased this book in hopes of getting a better glimpse into the wonderful world she has created for her and her family. Hoping, just by chance, there were a few tricks still left to stuff up my sleeves. Being a family oriented women myself, I've had to learn several of the tricks she writes about on my own, throughout the years. Sometimes, unfortunately, to the detriment of planning simple yet lovely meals for dinner guests. Lisa politely, yet with humor, attention to detail, and in her calm way, shows the reader how to pull together every last detail for an elegant affair. There are many time and money saving tips that will leave you saying "why didn't I think of that?" I for one, am looking forward to taking a store bought desert and turning it into a masterpiece fitted for royalty. Several wonderful pics, eloquently written, this book is well worth the price and time spent reading. It will pay for its self on the first dinner party you have after reading it....I wish I could share more, but I need to get back to reading the second half of this delightful book!

I have never, in all my years, been blown away by a "how to" book.......until now. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed other entertainment and recipe books but this one is quite special. It's beautifully put together....easy to read.....recipes don't look complicated at all yet will look like I spent hours. Thanks Lisa!Lisa is the kind of woman we all want to hate.....she's seems too perfectly perfect.....but her sense of humor takes any intimidation away and her love for her family makes me love her all the more. She doesn't take herself seriously and has a unique outlook I enjoy and appreciate........oh, if everyone could be a Lisa Vanderpump.I am thrilled Lisa wrote this book, couldn't wait for it to be published, anxiously awaited its arrival, and am now enjoying every page. I'm a huge fan.....can you tell? Ha! Lisa, your book didn't let me down but I knew it wouldn't. How could it? You wrote it. I can hear your voice as I read your tips and I can hear your witty sarcasm which has me chuckling. You are adorable.I agree with others....wish there were more pictures of you.Thank you!

This book is a lovely collection of stories of Lisa's life, recipes, and tips on entertaining. It has a little bit of everything. I am a big fan of Lisa's style and was disappointed at the lack of pictures depicting her tips in her book in areas such as flower arranging, plating and staging of food etc. I think she sets beautiful tablescapes and gorgeous floral arranagements, but the photos in the book were what I would consider to be glamour shots of Lisa looking beautiful (of course :)), She was the focal point vs helping me garner ideas on how to create table settings or entertain in the Vanderpump style. Some pictures are included of her recipes. I would recommend this book to any Lisa fan, but I am not sure how helpful the book would be to someone not familar with Lisa and her featured style on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills if one is solely looking for an informative book on entertaining. However, her life stories and advice are charming.

I wish the book was longer and that I was able to read it on my iPad (rather than getting an error). Otherwise, the book was better than expected. In a warm and humorous way, Lisa shares her personal feelings, flair for style and a variety of recipes that sound delicious. I was sorry to see the book come to an end. There were several beautiful photos also included. It was a joy to be drawn into Lisa's world for a moment and to learn how to entertain in a similar manner. I recommend the book to anyone who is a fan of entertaining, cooking, creating beautiful memories, or of Lisa Vanderpump herself.

If you LOVE Lisa Vanderpump then you will LOVE this book. The book is exactly like her, elegant but practical! I have actually tried her recipes and my incredibly picky husband enjoyed them (which was the best surprise of all). For someone who lives such a great life, its nice to get advice on how to be a little more glamorous!

Very happy with Lisa's book. My copy came autographed by Lisa herself. I got it checked out - couldn't be more pleased. This book offers decor and hosting tips as well Lisa's famous wise cracks and quips. Very nice for the coffee table or as a gift to one of your girlfirends.

I expected more photos... for events visuals are everything. In the end I feel like I did a lot of reading the there were too many recipes. Not what I expected but still a decent read.

Nice Cover - Content different from anything I have bought before - I liked it for its diversity - and pictures.
