Must have - for muting unwanted audio
The media could not be loaded. It does exactly what it says, enough said. Mutes my coughs and throat clearing. Sometimes I can hear the feedback in my side tone, but non-existent in recording

A good way to eliminate a ground loop.
These boxes are good build quality and contain a transformer, which eliminates many ground loop problems. They do not appreciably alter the sound. Most "ground loop eliminators" do not have a transformer. These do. They are worth the money.

If you’re a broadcaster this device should be a part of your Standard equipment!
This is the first review I have ever written for a product on Amazon, and I have been a prime member for at least 10 years now. This device was exactly for what I was looking. I am the lead broadcaster for Global Polo TV and without this device I could not do my job properly. Polo is very fluid and fast game and as such I am expected to be just as fluid and fast. I may have to do three games in the day, and having to talk that much really does take a toll on one’s voice. The only way to relieve my voice is to be able to cough every so often. Before I got this device, even if I pulled my head away from the microphone, you could still hear me cough during the broadcast. Very unprofessional. Now that I have the Coughbox it is a seamless continuation of play-by-play action from me. I can’t speak highly enough about this device! If you’re a broadcaster this should be an essential part of your equipment set up.

I found a better tool for my application. The transformer also rattles around inside the box.
I often need to run an audio reference signal from my mixer to the mic inputs on my camcorders so I can synchronize clips from different cameras using a common audio track. When I'm recording the audio tracks separately the camcorders don't need stereo. A common mono track functions as a time code. When my camcorders use a power supply, connecting an external signal creates hum and noise. The ISOBLOX did not help. A passive direct box (DI) used in reverse worked very well but required an attenuator and adapter cords. I'll explain below. I used the Rapco DBBLOX DI which is inexpensive and the same size as the ISOBLOX.The DI has a male XLR connector that is normally an output. I made an XLR-F to XLR-F cable to use that as in input. I also used an XLR attenuator to reduce the mixer signal by 20-30dB before it hit the DI.The DI has a 1/4 mono jack on the other end. I used a cable that converted 1/4 mono plug to miniTRS mono plug to feed the camera mic input. That cable connects the tip and ring of the stereo mini plug to the tip of the 1/4 mono plug. The transformer inside the DBBLOX rattle around just as it did on the ISOBLOX. I was able to solve that by taking off the top of the box (upper screws on each end) and placing a small piece of foam over the transformer to hold it in place.

Pure function - Solves most ground loop problems
It breaks up ground loops with a 1:1 600 ohm transformer enclosed with an extruded aluminum enclosure. There appears to be no other components inside. Keep it away from AC cords and other magnetic fields as it has little shielding. The transformer rattles around inside so I take some adhesive like Goop and squirt some inside. I keep these transformers in my professional audio problem-solving kit as they are low price, pure function, and take up very little room. Sure, there are much better at 4 times the price, but these handle all but the toughest 'pin 1' problems. I would buy again and again, but keep the glue handy to tame the little rattler inside.

The best way to eliminate 60 cycle hum from bad lighting or dirty power.
I use this when my Headrush Pedalboard’s direct XLR out is allowing too much interferenc. It silences that nasty noise. I don’t know how or why it works, but it does and only requires one extra XLR cable to patch it in (I use a 2 ft cable).

Very effective, with high quality case and connectors
Used in quelling buzz in a mal-installed venue where power amps were on separate circuit from FOH and monitors.I did not expect this reasonably priced device to come in such a "together" package, which has Neutrik XLR connectors and very solid metal case. You will need a short (XLR-to-XLR or XLR-to-TRS) cable to connect to the receiving device for best use - and the shorter the better within reason. Do consider that while purchasing this.Note that these are good at what they do, but not magic. That is, they will eliminate hum/buzz that is due to "pin 1 problem" (ground loops) in the connection in question. If you have noise on the line _before_ the given connection, you will have to trace it back to its source and solve it there.

VERY BAD ITEM BE AWARE
I was about to write a 5 star review on this product as I was check in it I connect it to one of my powdered Speaker's and check the volume wow it kill the sound most of those speakers have. So I tried on my other speaker and thinking to order 1or 3 more since it was awesome., suddenly it stopped working and very, very low sound came out of my 2nd speaker I checked all connections and was all right 1rst I thought it was my speaker until I remove this ISOLBOX out of the line and connect the speaker direct to the mixer and the speaker was perfect so I tried this ISOLBOX with my others power speaker's just to find out it did exact the same to them very, very little noise out of each one even on high volume. So yes it worked for like 10 minutes. Now I have to deal with return which everyone knows is a PAIN hopefully I get my money back. I can see more low rating reviews on the future on this item

Does what is supposed to do, very convenient.
This product is exactly as described, arrived quickly, and works flawlessly. Priced competitively and provides a way of defeating over zealous sound men that like to turn the vocalist down too much, Places control where it belongs, in the hands of the vocalist. I recommend this.
