The Nuttery Oval Fatball Feeder

So far not one squirrel has made it through the defences and now the fat balls last longer than a day. The small birds quickly adapted to going inside and we've seen a woodpecker hanging off the outside and pecking through the mesh so he's happy too. It's very nicely made, and looks as though it should last well. Easy to clean and reassemble.

La idée est bonne, les mangeoires sont très jolie, mais les ouvertures sont très petit, les oiseaux ont la difficulté pour entrée. Je pense qui il faut faire attention à ça !

I wish I had read all the reviews! This is a very attractive feeder. The colour is subtle and it blends well into the garden. Build quality is good as well (except for a bracket on the top which, after a month, is showing the start of rust).But.... in a month, not one bird has been able to get through the outer cage to reach the fatballs. We have many birds, including blue tits/great tits etc - a size that should be able to get into the feeder to reach the fatballs. I have just thrown away all the untouched fatballs as they are now no good. The feeder has come down as well as there is no point in having it hanging in the garden.Do read the other reviews as well, there are other people who have had the same problem with this pretty feeder.

Le constructeur concevait cette mangeoire pour que les écureuils ne puissent pas s'y nourrir !Mais les grilles sont tellement serrées que même les petites mésanges ne peuvent y pénétrer !Il a donc fallu sortir le panier intérieur et n'utiliser que celui-ci !C'est nul ! Celui qui l'a conçu n'a peut-être jamais vu de petits oiseaux !Sa seule obsession : empêcher les écureuils d'y pénétrer !Autrement dit, cet énorme et solide cage métallique qui constitue l'essentiel de cette mangeoire, est inutilisable !RAJAONARISON Richard

Does what it should. Only flaw is the two metal holding parts need a "v" in middle of each to hold the feeder steady. Without, it slips to one side and feeder is continually lop-sided. Not so good when it rains.
