I got this baby thermometer because the cheap one I had from the grocery store stopped working.Both my kids were sick recently and I decided to invest in a better quality thermometer. The price of this thermometer was still less than another one I saw at my local Walmart; so I decided to try it.I’m very glad did. First off the box has very clear concise instructions right on it. It comes with batteries already so all I had to do was insert batteries and we’re ready to go. It’s lightning fast and it comes with a memory button so you can keep track of the last temp. It also comes with a little pouch to keep it in. My favorite feature?You can take off the little forehead cover and it becomes an ear thermometer!And again the instructions!! There’s clear instructions PLUS pictures. It’s mommy with no sleep checking temps proof. You can’t mess up!I checked it against a friends $50 thermometer and this one matches the temps exactly in every situation and in a quarter of the time.Do yourself a favor and get one. And this is the best gift.

Over the weekend my daughter and I got the flu. I used this to take her tempature. It registered 101.1 degrees. It wasn’t until a week later I recognized that this thermometer is WRONG by -4 degrees always!! I checked with multiple thermometers to verify this. This meant her fever was probably dangerously high and I was completely unaware because I trusted this product!! DO NOT TRUST THIS PRODUCT. I’m really mad I paid $30 for a thermometer that I thought would be more reliable but it ISNT. She probably should of went to the hospital but when I called the doctor I unknowingly gave her the wrong info because the device gave me the wrong info every time I checked it. So dangerous. Stay away from this device and don’t listen to the ratings because they are misleading.

I should have had this years ago! We don't have any babies and we still love this thermometer. It is so easy to use. The display is nice and big and lights up so you can take temperatures without turning on the lights. I also like that you can pull off the forehead cover to convert the thermometer into and ear thermometer. It also comes with a nice bag to keep it safe and clean. I definitely recommend this for any household!

Awesome , is all I have to say about this product. I have a few thermometers at home and when I really need to use, none work well enough for little baby. With this one, I very easily took my daughter’s temperature by just swiping this thermometer across her forehead and sure enough she was running a fever. I did not have to place this thermometer inside her ear, just had to swipe it across her head and I immediately got her temperature. Great thermometer and easy to use.

We purchased and ended up returning and purchasing a different brand/model. When we got it we of course tried it out and noticed that the reported temperature was all over the place. We'd scan and it would show 97.2 then scan immediately again and it would read 94.8. We did it both with the forehead and ear method and on different people and got the same results every time. If it would have read 97.2 then 97.8 or something like that I could deal with that but the temperature different was too inconsistent for me. Not sure if I just got a goofy one or what.

UPDATE: changed review to 4 stars on account of their amazing customer service. They immediately offered a product replacement or refund if not satisfied. A retailer I'm not afraid or concerned to shop with.Great thermometer until you realise it's wrong. Baby had fever last night I felt him burning up, but checked using this, nothing - all normal ear and forehead.Same in the morning.Since I had his temperature and assumed it was accurate I dropped him off at daycare.Few hrs later day care called saying he has high fever. Came back from work, picked him up, brought him home checked his temperature again using this ear and forehead all ok. Forehead = 98.7, Ear = 99.2. then used the only other thermometer I had a rectal digital thermometer. Temp = 102.4!!!Took him to the doctor, nurses ear thermometer =101.9 vs checked with mine (this there again) 98.7!Totally disappointed. Bought after reading so many reviews thinking I can trust this. Unfortunately not.

I should probably include first in this review that I work in healthcare and at times temperatures are very important so I can tend to be a bit of a thermometer snob. With that being said I will always believe that a rectal temp can not be beat in accuracy but for use at home with my own children who are aging up and do not want mom to use a rectal prob this is a pretty solid tool. I have used many skin/temporal probes that could be all over the place with accuracy but if used properly this thermometer seems to be consistent. The company sends out an email with your purchase that has some of the highlights i suppose from the instruction packet that is included and it is very straightforward. I would definitely recommend the product to others for home use.

We all recently had the flu and I bought this bc my 2 year old daughter hates having her temperature taken.The readings were ALWAYS different and low.After the first few times of getting weirdly low ear and forehead readings (94.5, 5 92.8, then 96.1) I got my regular digital thermometer, and though it upset her, took her temp the traditional way (read: in her bottom) and her temp was 103!I knew there was something wrong with the thermometer from the abnormally low readings, thank God, because what if temps had been in a more normal range and I didn't realize it was wrong?My kids could've had dangerously high temps and I wouldn't have known!
