Rockport Men's Chranson Walking Shoe

I have a desk job and couldn't get more then 8 months out of my second pair. Extremely comfortable but horrible design. When the toe flexes from walking, the black around the front cuts through the suede leaving a hole. Both pairs I bought. When I contacted customer service I wS told I can mail them back and in 6-8 weeks get another pair if found to be defective. They were clearly defective seeing as both pairs did it in same spot. Went with a different product finally because I can't go that long waiting for new shoes to arrive.

I'm a big guy, and I walk a lot. I've walked through many, many pairs of shoes. Whatever they have for soles on these shoes, they should use it on all their styles, 'cause it lasts the best of anything I've tried. I've read other folks' bad reviews, and I guess they had a bad experience, and that's legit, but I've found these not only long lasting on the sole, but also on the upper. And at the top for comfort. I do my walking in Seattle, so water resistant in a pair of walking shoes is vital. Even though they are a pretty open design, they are not bad: fine in light to moderate rain, not so fine in hard rain. Yes, they do come untied pretty easily, but double-knotting helps. The heel tends to break down and get lumpy if you stuff your foot in, so a shoehorn or some other care in this regard is strongly suggested.They are not cheap, but I've found them to be a great value. I'm about to buy a new pair. My old ones are still OK, but I'm afraid that Rockport will discontinue them for fashion's sake, and I want to make sure I have a second pair standing by.

The only thing I wear are Rockports. I have worn Rockport Pro Walkers for over 20 years now. They didn't have the Walkers in my size this time so,, I had to settle for the Chranson which I have now worn only a few months. Recently I noticed the right shoe has a problem with its heal. The heel collapses easily and I have to put my finger in to the shoe and pull the heel up and out. The left shoe heel is just fine. I have treated these shoes with great care only wearing them to work. This is the first pair of Rockports out of about a dozens of pairs I've worn for over 20 year now that I'm not happy with.I originally ordered the Rockport Pro Walkers but they didn't have my size. This is the first time I've worn these Chranson shoes. Not happy.

I love them. I read that the shoes run a little narrow so I got the wide but should have gotten the mediums. You just never know when ordering online. I will say these are the only shoes I could wear all day right out of the box. WOW! UPDATE:10/2016 -- 2.5 months later and the shoe has pulled away from the rubber sole. Great shoe until that time. In the market for another pair of office shoes and it won't be a Rockport. I don't mind spending the money but would like them to last at least one year!

Bizarrely inconsistentI have been looking for some comfortable walking shoes, and got a message from Amazon recommending these. They looked good and had good reviews, so I went ahead and ordered them.Unfortunately, they were small; narrow and short, so I ordered replacements one size larger.These shoes fit great and are super comfortable! My first day in them was heaven. When I put them on in the morning, though, I noticed something strange: The laces on one shoe were so short I could barely tie them. When I got home this evening, I took them out and measured them.One lace is over 5 inches shorter than the other!I like the shoes. I'm going to keep them. But this company definitely has some Quality Control Problems!

These are one of the best pairs of shoes I have ever owned; with the others being Rockport also. They felt very comfortable right out of the box with no need to "break them in". My work requires me to be on my feet for eight hours a day and I was very concerned that I might have problems the first few days of wearing them; however, I was surprised to find that they caused no problems at all from the very first day. The EE width works very well for me as I need that extra width in order to not bind my feet. I would recommend this shoe for anyone needing to be on their feet for extended lengths of time. I purchased these shoes in the hopes that my feet would stop being sore and after hearing positive things about "the brand" from my family. Unfortunately, it turns out that they were referencing two other brands and NOT Rockport, although my dad used to wear these. Anyway, I expected some sort of difference from the normal Nike/Adidas that I am accustom to... no such luck. I was willing to sacrifice the styles that I love so much in the other shoes if the promise of more comfortable feet was achieved. I find that standing for any length of time to be just as tiresome in these as in the others. The cushion of the shoe is not noticeably special in any way and in fact my feet seemed to be hotter in these than in my other shoes. Another thing I don't like besides the lack of comfort is the very short shoe laces... which makes it hard to tie a knot which will hold. The length of the laces in combination with the type (firm round vs flat) make it hard to tie a knot that doesn't work itself undone. In the end, I'll probably just have wasted money on these as I've already switched back to my old sneakers. It's really a drag because the only way to really tell how a shoe is going to perform is to use it (upon which time returning it is not an option). Hopefully someone else

Hi, I use Rockport for years over all good shoes, I can say 1 of the best in market.But particularly this one didn't last long only couple of months. I don't really know maybe DEFECTIVE or something else, I don't know!

I always choose Rockport over other brands as I find the quality of their footware to be high and the fit comfortable for my size feet. These shoes did not disappoint!

Shoes are excellent, very comfortable in both length and width, I wear them all day at work and have no problems with them at all.The only thing I don't like are the laces, they're stretchy and keep coming undone no matter how tight I make them. So I've had to resort to double knotting them to stop that.So Rockport, can you just provide simpler laces that just stay laced please? Other than that, great shoes for both work and casual.Note: I ended buying a second pair of these shoes (namely these ones), the previous pair were 1 size too small because they didn't specify on the site that they sell only in US sizes, even the size chart didn't really help. So remember, whatever your size buy the next one up (I take a 12, so size 13 in US sizes) and you should get the correct size.

Good quality sneaker as I buy Rockport foot wear all the time. Only shoe product I buy for big men. Unfortunately this sneaker (Rockport Men Rockin Chranson Walking Shoe) is not comfortable. Not much padding in sole, hard on the feet. My feet hurt that bad after 2 weeks I had to stop wearing them and bought another Rockport sneaker called Rockport Men's Get Your Kicks Blucher Sneakers, which are amazing. The Blucher Sneaker is more expensive but is the best and only choice in my opinion for big & tall men.

Great shoes, would highly recommend. Comfortable and stylish.A little ticked that the regular price is now approx. $30 cheaper than when I bought them about a month ago. Amazon and Rockport need to have some sort of price protection that doesn't involve returning the shoes and reordering.

Primera vez que compro esta marca y modelo. Después de usarlos la primer semana debo decir que fueron una agradable sorpresa por lo cómodos y lo bien que se ven. La talla ajusta perfecto. Lo único que puedo decir es que el envío se demoró un par de días mas por el trámite de la aduana mexicana. Si bien hay restricciones para importar calzado, tenemos derecho a comprar un par para uso personal a través de este portal establecido en México. Recomendado modelo si crees que es tu estilo.
