This is not a cheap bed, it's £400, for that money I'd at least expect it to serve its basic function...However less than 4months in my 13yr old came crashing down and found herself wedged against the wall after the bed failed.She was reading a book, not training to be the next British trampoline star.It's only by the grace of good fortune that her 5yr old sister was not sound asleep underneath her as she would normally be each and every night.During assembly we noticed the quality of the materials were questionable. With gaps in some places and the whole thing didn't seem sturdy. So much so that we added additional reinforcements to the joints with a screw place to stop the joints separating.The areas we have reinforced are still standing... Which should tell you a lot about the actual structural integrity of this bed.Please DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN IN THIS DEATH TRAP!

So disappointed with the quality of the bed! Only had it under a month and it’s looks shocking! I don’t feel like my kids are safe!!

Beds looked great in picture. Unfortunately cheap material used for a good look effect. These beds are not at all sturdy once built. Very disappointed considering the price you pay!

Let's cover the good first. It looks nice and is pretty sturdy on completion.Care; It takes up space of a double bed at max. to accommodate the steps and shelve space.The bad - hence the 3 star rating - It's such a pity that it's let down by two aspects - the complexity of putting it together (thus the time it takes based on an instruction manual that could be much better). However, the serious let down is the poor safety design - the sharp edges, eg on the bed frames and steps could easily have been rounded by the manufacturer. The consequence is ongoing cuts and grazes for children and adults alike. If the manufacturer updates the design, they should flag the improvement as it would help their star rating.

Really happy with these beds which we bought in preparation for our youngest going into share a room with her 3 year old sister3 year old current sleeps on bottom bunk and was uber excited when she saw them in her room. She climbs up and down from the top bunk but her little sister isn't ready for her own bed yet so for safety we use the bottom bunk. They both play on the top bunk though.I built these on my own and it took about 5 hours as I took my time. There were only a couple of times I needed to grow an extra hand and perhaps lifting the back part would have been easier with two people as its very heavyWhich is good because it makes the beds very sturdy. I'm a moderately fat man in my 40s and I have every confidence in the top bunk.The whole thing feels very strong and it really does look great in the room. The shelves are really useful and the drawer is on wheels rather than being built into the beds.Very good value for money as well. Highly recommend these for younger children.

If there is a way to put less than a star, Amazon should take this product off their site. The product are not sturdy, the instructions manual is not well expatiate, customer service wasn’t helpful. While setting up the materials are cracking up and damaging, the planks are not coupled into each other so well. There was no positive solution from happy bed company 😡“ it should be called AGONY BED anywayI will not advise even my enemy to go through what I went through. Had a breakdown, got stressed,made me emotional .

Bed is nice and sturdy and looks good! Overall I’m very happy and my sons love the shelves for their books and toys!If I’m being picky, there are a few cosmetic issues where there are dinks in the panels or along the edge and stickers on stairs that glow in the dark are all creased. Only really spotted as it was being built so was committed !!!Lost the star for the cosmetic issues but mainly cause I had a 2 man delivery and they refused to put in room of choice and blocked my hall downstairs. 4 x boxes of 25kg, 33kg, 36kg and 38kg that I had to carry upstairs on my own - as a woman in her mid 30s with arthritis, this took its toll!!!

Only criticism would be the sharp edges as you would expect with wood, but my boy hit his head a couple of times already. It is as expected though. Strong and comfortable
