Excellent protection, truly waterproof
The Freestyle Libre claims to be "waterproof" enough for bathing, showering and swimming but I have lost more sensors in the shower than anywhere else. These patches completely solved that problem. I find that these easily last the whole 14 day life of a sensor, although the edges might start looking a bit grubby before that. The only minor issue is how easily it sticks to itself so you have to be very careful while putting it on (particularly if you are placing it on the back of the arm; one-handed adhesive patch placement could be an olympic sport) but every similar product has that problem so I'm not taking a star off for that. I have tried dozens of patches and tapes for the Libre and this is easily the best one so far.Pro Tip: Put a ~1" circle of paper between the sensor and the patch, then if you need to remove the patch for any reason it won't remove the sensor.Pro Tip #2: Look up Smith & Nephew Skin Prep Protective Wipes. Trust me, they make everything stick better.

Once placed, it stays with no peeling.
Pro:* Lasts the full life of the freestyle libre sensor (10 days)* The edges do not peel/fray or lift over time* Dries much quicker than other adhesive covers. (It's not a fabric "bandage" material)* Does not absorb lotions etc. I can put lotions/creams on without worry and it just wipes off easily.* Very thin and clear. I can see the skin and sensor to make sure nothing is wrong. It does not feel like such a thick skin barrier (If I scratch an itch: it feels like I'm scratching my skin instead of scratching through layers of material).Cons:* Because it is so thin you have to be careful in placing it on your skin/sensor because if you mess up and it sticks to itself there's no way to recover. You'll have to discard and start over.---I'm an active female who exercises/play sports for 4 hours a week. This adhesive cover has survived daily showers, daily lotion applications, multiple daily long sleeve clothing changes. I have a history with adhesive sensitivity, but so far everything looks and feels well. The material is similar to (Tegaderm) the transparent film dressing that they place over IV's or that are on the clear/thin waterproof bandages.

Stick to it.
Item arrived well packaged and in a timely manner. Item is as described. Sticks well and we really like the no hole design. Previously, we had used the hole design patches and found it a bit hard to apply while lining the hole up exactly around the sensor. We love being able to simply apply over the sensor. It doesn't seem to interfere with the monitor's ability to read the sensor. We still have to be careful when pulling off the backing as we apply the patch so as not to make a wrinkle in the patch. Patience and practice are a great help. It is pretty tricky to do as a 1 person function. We have found the need for someone to help apply the patch due to the location of the sensor placement. The patch adheres securely and helps hold the sensor in place and protect it against bumps that would normally knock it off. We have found that the ends begin to curl up around day 9 which is sometimes a challenge since the sensor we currently use is a 14 day sensor. All in all it is a pretty good and functional product and plan on purchasing again in the future.

After using about 8 I think its a little better than I first reported.
New Update: when using these with Skin-Tac the patches stay on much better than originally stated. I still have problems putting them on without getting wrinkles, so its pretty much a two person job. My wife has pretty much got the hang of it now, and although I was totally irritated with the first couple of patches, now that I have used about 10 of these. I think I will probably reorder when I run out. The size which was my biggest complaint is now a little more appreciated. Make sure you activate your sensor before applying an overpatch to make sure its good. I had two bad sensors in a row and thought it was going to pull all the skin off trying to replace them.Update: Decided to do an update and upgrade on the patch. It is very sticky and adheres decently, but as you can see from the photo its coming loose from the arm, but not the sensor which makes putting on a new patch almost impossible without pulling the sensor off. This is day 11 on a 14 day sensor and I am pretty much sedimentary and the patch should stick better than this. I do use prep before applying the sensor. I would recommend that a small piece of paper be put over the sensor so It won't stick to the sensor itself so you can replace the patch if necessary. The ad says that the dimensions are 7x4.17 , that is just the plastic envelope they come in, the actual size is 3 1/8inch. About the size of a mini CD. These would probably be good for women or people with small arms, but I'm a big man and I don't think they will adhere well with only about 1 inch of adhesive all the way around especially for the 14 day sensors. Currently use a sim patch that is about 4 x 6 football shaped and even those do not last 14 full days. Very disappointed in being mislead. I did see there was a picture with one if I had searched thru them , but the main picture doesn't look true to size. Going to try one and then most likely will return. Since they are completely sticky, trying to swap it out without pulling the sensor off would be difficult or impossible, will probably have to put a piece of paper over the sensor.

Hair Beware!!
I had high hopes for these patches. I made the mistake of not shaving my arm around the sensor. When the 14 day period was up and I had to replace my sensor, it hurt like hell removing the patch! Part of it was hair but it still stuck to my arm like grim death, requiring a fairly rough peel. I was also concerned the sensor would be yanked out among with the patch, so you have to be careful how you remove it.

Piece of crap! Go with something else! I am!
Piece of crap!!!!!! If I could get these a zero, I would. They are so thin that you can even work with them to apply. Took my husband 5 patches to get one part way over my sensor. Then had to fiddle with another to go over second half of sensor. They are no way near the size described. Now after spending $17, I have to buy something else to keep these Libre sensors on my arm.
