Simple and Secure!
Love, love, love this bike carrier seat. It's simple to install, doesn't weigh down when I'm riding, and they feel secure in it! I like the lap guard and how it cradles them in. I got this for my daughter when she was one, and she still fits comfortably in it two years later. I am about to buy a second one for my son so my husband can take him on rides with us too.

Good for little kids
This has been a great addition to our biking family. It has been very sturdy and comfortable for the back of our bike. The installation took a little longer than expected and wasn’t super clear. So, just make sure to take your time installing it. We use it on an old trek mountain bike which could be the problem. But once on it’s great!

Great, sturdy seat; a pain to install
I purchased the cocoon seat for my bike a couple of years ago and my son and I love it. He was just under one when I started using it and now he’s two and a half. I’m sad that he’ll soon be growing past the 40 lb weight limit because he loves riding with me and has even fallen asleep in the seat during rides. I feel the cocoon is a sturdy addition to my bike and have never felt unsure about my child’s safety. Conversely, this thing was a pain to install. Now, I’m not that mechanically adept, though I feel confident to put things together myself in general. It would have been easier if I installed this with someone else, but it took me some time to do it solo. I have a men’s mountain bike with brake cords and it was a little bit of a challenge to fit this seat without crimping those cords, but I managed to get it done. I give this four stars for its security and ease of use with my child, but deducted a star for ease of installation.

Great seat, very pleased!!
This seat is everything I expected. We had no problem attaching it to 2 different bikes (a Huffy and some other speed bike) when we went on vacation, and all you need is a wrench! I think anyone with a normal, standard bike and basic understanding of how to screw together bolts and nuts will have no problem putting together this seat (and the manual is very clear and self-explanatory.) You do need an anchor point near the bike seat to attach the main bracket. (That socket where you have the quick release to make the seat higher or lower.) While looking online, I noticed some new mountain bikes have it too low, and also the bars of the rear-wheel-fork were to thick. Consider these 2 things before buying this seat if you have a mountain bike. Otherwise, my daughter (14 mos) LOVED the seat. She sat in it very comfortably for 4.5 hours straight without even the slightest complaint. Before we left the bike tipped over and crashed to the ground, but nothing happened to her (aside for a little fright.) Her head, shoulders, and the rest of her body were completely protected by the side panel of the seat. The straps are fully-adjustable and kept her snug and tight in the seat. I absolutely recommend this seat to anyone looking for a child carrier, especially since it's so economical and practical, it makes a great first choice.

Read this before you buy.
The chair is nice and sturdy, the bracket mount It’s very manageable and you can Install in most cruiser bikes. It might fit on the hard tail mountain bike, but I’d say it will be very comfortable to pedal Most likely you’re gonna have to install some high bars like Bmx style handlebars to have a comfortable riding Position. If not, then you’re gonna have to be leaning over your child. one of the downsides of this chair is that the foot pegs or foot rest for the kids are very flimsy and plastic. But overall worth the money for a two years you can probably use this on your toddler. Recommendations: Only install on a cruise bike or hybrid with high handlebars. Like a city bike Installation is 6/10 easy.

TERRIBLE! I would have been sitting on my child.
This was a terrible purchase. The plastic of the seat is so cheaply made, I would not feel safe leaving my child in it. It was flimsy, and felt like paper. Though I suppose that makes it light weight for riding ease, I was not comfortable with it. Needless to say, I still attempted and took it to a Bike Shop for installation. Even the bike mechanics thought this was a terrible product (and NO they did NOT try to sell me a different one - they just told me to get rid of this one altogether). Let me start by saying what the biggest problem is. The seat has no extending hardware, which means it only reaches as far as the small connector piece can reach. The picture sort of shows this, but not nearly to the extent it actually sits. This child seat was right up against the back of my seat. I ride a beach cruiser, and after lots of online research, found this to be a beach cruiser compatible child seat. WRONG! This chair was up against my chair, and the child handlebar was actually sitting ON my bike seat. If I tried to sit down, I sat on the child handlebar. That isn't even the worst of it. My child, who is 2 years old and 25 lbs, could not even comfortably get into the chair. We had to take some serious time to get him into it, because my bike seat was completely in his way. When he was finally sitting in it, his little legs were almost doing splits to fit around my adult seat. AND they did not even get around the seat entirely. So had I got on my bike, I would have been sitting on the handlebar AND my son's legs. And he is a little guy. I realize most of these chairs are close to the adult seat, but this was ridiculous. Also, many other chair types come with an extending piece of hardware that place the chair further back. Though I am not nearly the size of this woman in the photo, this is what I envisioned for my poor child if I actually used this product: [...] (see the link or google "fat lady child carrier"). And take a close look, that seat in the photo IS the Bell Classic Child Carrier. I wish I had seen this photo before I bought it. Then there is another safety issue. The wheel guard is terrible. It is a flimsy, cheap piece of plastic, which looks much like a piece of paper, and it basically attaches with twist ties over the tire. This is to keep the child's feet from getting stuck in the wheel, so it is very important to be safe and sturdy, which this IS NOT. I am so disappointed in this seat and have already issued a request to return it.

We tried a few different models before and nothing would work! This one is strong, comfortable, well fixed on the bike, my baby feel really safe in it! Best option in the market for sure!

Depending on the model of your bike, this might be one of the few baby chairs that fit. That's my case. I was so happy when I finally found this chair! My one-year-old is very comfortable in it. The straps can be regulated.
