This middle aged fat guy is doing pull ups.
I can do a lot of push ups, but I've never been good at pull ups so I never really bothered with them. A couple months ago a freind talked me into doing a Spartan Race. "come on" he says.... "it'll be fun" he says. So I signed up with a team. Then I started researching how to traing for it and found that there are a lot of obstacles that require you to "pull up". That wasn't particularly good news but I'm committed so I thought I'd better find something to help get me doing pull ups. I've seen bands before and always thought I'd like to give it a try so I bought one and I'm glad I did. At 230lbs, (with just a little practice) the blue band allowed me to start doing sets of 10 pull ups in between sets of 20 pushups after just a few days.It did take me a little practice getting in and out of the band, and learning to keep my core tight. Getting in the band the first time was challenging and pretty darn funny for anyone who might be watching, so if you can't take a joke don't try it in front of your wife and kids... :) After the first couple sets of 5 or so I noticed there was a lot of strain on my low back so you do need to focus on keeping your core tight. Now that I'm paying attention to it, I haven't had the sore back thing again and I've been using it daily for about a week.On a side note, I have some pretty chronic shoulder pain thanks to some injuries over the last couple decades. My chiropractor says it's caused by a muscle inbalance between my push/pull muscles, which I promptly ingnored since I wasn't good at the pull stuff.... But I have to say that after using the blue band for a week my shoulder is feeling a lot better. I'm already looking forward to moving down in resistance. This is a surprisingly good product. I will buy again.

Top quality service above them all!
I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with not only the product, but the company as a whole! Resistance bands are almost universally the same, but the brand can make all the difference! I recently purchased MummyStrength bands and I love them! I'm an avid gym rat and these things will rock your WOD! On day 1 of using the black bands, an unforeseen bubble under the surface popped when the band stretched out. I took an image of the band and reached out to MummyStrength for a replacement band. The president of the company reached out to me within an hour and had a replacement band already in the mail for 2 day shipping. I received the package 2 days later and a complimentary band on top of my replacement band was in the box! I'm extremely excited to utilize my precious bands at the gym tomorrow! I almost bought rogue bands being nearly the same price, but I took a chance on the little guy and they came through! Everyone at the gym lives my new bands as well. Take a chance on the lesser known brand with a rocking warranty system, it will save your bacon (and your investment as well). A bubble can happen on even the best brands. I will gladly purchase more from this company in the future and will encourage all whom ask to buy products from MummyStrength!UPDATE:I have now had these suckers for 3 years, and they get used EVERY DAY! I utilize them for all sorts of stretching, lifting, dancing, frolicking, and everything else you can think of. They take a beating on a constant basis, to say the least. I have been more than impressed with the quality of my MummyStrength bands. I have been asked on many occasions which brand I would purchase, WITHOUT HESITATION it is ALWAYS MummyStrength. This company is the bee's knees and know how to take care of their customers. I said it before and I will say it again: Take a chance on the lesser known brand with a rocking warranty system, it will save your bacon (and your investment as well). Cheers!

5 Things to Think About Before Buying One of These Bands
First, I should say that I've been doing pull-ups for a while, but I bought one of these bands (the green one) to help me get my first muscle-up. Simply put, I think these bands add a lot to any pull-up workout. Here are five things that I think you should know before buying these bands:1. The designation of lbs. per band can be a little confusing. Basically, the bigger, more expensive bands will pull you up to the bar much more powerfully. So if you're light and need a lot of help or heavy and need a little help, you'll use the same band.2. As a general rule, I'd say start out with a bigger band, as it'll make things easier. You can always buy a smaller one later or adjust your form (by bending the knee of the banded leg) to ease up the pulling power.3. Using one of these bands means that you can do pull-ups with various grips, explosive pull ups, and even muscle ups. So your range of activities should increase.4. Some people even use these bands for things like one-armed push ups, hanging the end over one shoulder down on the ground (attached to a bar). I haven't gotten into this, but it's an option.5. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this, but take note: these bands can slip off your foot and snap you right in the face (or elsewhere). It's pretty easy to keep this from happening, but you are dealing with a massive rubber band -- so take note!As I've only used my band for about a month, I'm not sure how long it'll last. I'm guessing a year or two, given my experience with other workout bands. However, I'm 5-stars all the way on this band because it's getting me up and over the bar!

Great purchase
We purchased the blue band and it's worked out well for both of us. My husband can get in and out without a problem, but I find it really difficult to use because the band is so thick and there's not much stretch. I usually need someone to pull it down for me so I can put my knee in when doing assisted pull ups. I understand that's the purpose of the band, so I'm not taking off any stars for it but thought I'd mention it for those people who maybe haven't ever used these before.

Does what it is says but is expensive for the one item you get. We got a green band and it really does help with pull-up reps. Not much else to say.

for the price it looked like you got all the bands
Description was a bit misleading, for the price it looked like you got all the bands, but in reality it you only get one. Had to send it back as there was cheaper alternatives on the market. In the end I managed to get three of the bands similar to the ones advertised for the price of one.
