Nice and sharp to get the fine details in my handmade rubber stamps.

Well designed with nicely shaped handles that fit comfortably in the palm of my hand. They even come in a wooden storage box.

I needed a set of micro carving tools for small detail work on my block prints. I chose these for their size and like them for control. I have small hands so I'll need to cut and reshape the handles a little. I was a little disappointed with the handle quality mainly due to how rough they were. It's possible I just happened to have a set where they were not sanded smooth so I was very aware of what I was holding rather than feeling like they were an extension of my fingers. Small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. The blades were nice and sharp out of their wooden storage case (the included bandaids make me smile). I have the Flexcut sharpening strop which makes quick work of keeping the blades clean and smooth. If you're looking for a set of tools to tackle fine, details in your project I highly recommend these.

Bought these to go along with my larger ones. These are great for smaller details on faces around eyes and any where you need them in carving. Packaged well with great wooden storage box and also comes with a bandaid dispenser in it. Which is needed from time to time. Great value for the money. Came super sharp out of the box.

So let me start with explaining my expectations were low. I'm new to linocutting, and only beginning to get a handle on what I need in a set of good carving tools. Something I learned swiftly on the purchase right before this when a brand not worth mentioning arrived with chipped, absolutely dull blades. They were unusable and I feared they were the only micro set for carving out there... until I found flexcut. The shape of these carvers threw me, then I started working with them and I saw the brilliance of the design. Not only did they arrive sharp, precise blades in perfect condition, they fit wonderfully in the hand. Something about the angle of the tool requires less force on my part, allowing me to trace thin lines around my pencil marks with ease. These tools have turned the linoleum nearly into a scratchboard for how fine the lines of shadowing and gradation I can cut into the surface. Would I recommend doing this level of fine detail in a linocut in general? Probably not. I'm sure my ignorance to the medium has led me down a neurotic path that I'll eventually regret. But these precise carving tools are absolutely making it possible, and I'm loving everything about the experience as a result.

I am a printmaker, and often need micro tools for making small intricate details. I've used these tools for linocut as well as woodblock carving. Because I work small, usually 9" X 12" I mostly use the smallest u gouge and the v gouge. This v gouge is now the only v gouge that I use, most of my larger tools are collecting dust. The larger u gouges (which are still small) are great for clearing small areas once they have been outlined. I do have to sharpen them with each use, so when I do purchase additional gouges, it will be because they hold an edge longer.

If all you've dealt with were starter carving tools, this is worth the investment. I plan on buying all of the sizes. These are amazing, they carve like a hot knife through butter. No need to warm up anything just start carving, also they are very nice to hold in the hand.

Après 4mois de non utilisation et stockage dans étui en tissu dans 1 armoire suspendue dans une pièce où tous les autres outils ne rouillent pas , je me suis retrouvée confrontée à une indignation! La lame est devenue inutilisable 3 couteaux =80€ à la poubelle , cette marque est une honte!!!! Je vais commander français ou allemand maintenant! Et surtout inox

Hace años que hago estampación en linóleo, después de probar muchísimas gubias distintas me decidí a comprar estas. Al principio me costó decidirme, ya que no son baratas, después de mucho tiempo dándoles mucho uso, parce que las estrene de nuevo. De las mejores inversiones que he hecho!
