Hermes Eau D'Orange Verte Eau De Cologne Natural Spray, 3.3 oz.

I originally purchased the travel size of this cologne to see if I would like it. Which I did, so I bought this size.If you love citrus based scents, this is about as good as it gets. Whoever put this scent together is an amazing alchemist, since it smells like a mix of neroli, sweet orange, petitgrain and maybe some lemon, but somehow, the fresh citrus top notes manage to hang on for hours. How is this possible? Most citrus scents last an hour, at the most. But this Hermes cologne stays fresh and true, and changes very little from the heady scent you experience on the first spray.Now, some people may enjoy changes in their colognes. They enjoy the migration from top, to middle to bottom note. And some may not like what could be perceived as a harshness in the citrus mixture of this cologne. You might hear people say it is a harsh, one note cologne.But do not listen to these (imaginary) critics! I am a true sucker for Eau d'Orange Verte, and always pick it up first, especially during these summer months, when I want that amazing green, fresh smell.

A wonderful alternative to Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi if you like Extra shot of Orange and less greens scent.Fresh for summer and hot locales.Worth the purchase and try for those unafraid of vibrant crisp fruit freshness.

My son has been using this for years, it's the only cologne he uses. He is 25, my husband also uses it and on occasion, so do I! Orange Verte is a fresh, cool scent, not overpowering at all. It is not inexpensive, but it IS Hermes. Amazon has excellent prices on it and you can be sure it's not a knock off. I recommend this as a great hot weather cologne. Very light and citrusy. Try it at a good department store and compare the price to Amazon's. Amazon wins. Ordered as an annual Christmas gift for my son; it arrived very quickly (Prime), in the sturdy Hermes box (perfect for packing in suitcase), and I know I'll order it again at least a few times this year.

Im very disappointed. This isn't the original formula. It smells great when you spray it from the bottle but the scent disappears as soon as it dries. I can barely smell it with my sensitive nose. No one else can smell it at all. I used to love this cologne, but it has charged. I should've heeded the other reviews and passed on it. It's basically useless as a cologne.

In checking this bottle's batch code BBA#Y, which appears on the bottom of the bottle, through the code calculator provided by checkcosmetic.net, the date of manufacture is shown as Feb 79. This would make the fragrance in this bottle 38 years old, which wouldn't seem to make sense. Multiple sources cite 3-5 years as the typical effective shelf life of such products. I would not have sought to decrypt the code if I hadn't suspected a dilution of intensity of the cologne on first use. Is it bad/weak enough to warrant a return? No, but I would caution those contemplating buying this product to be wary. You may be buying something that's been on a shelf somewhere for an awfully long time. If someone can rebut the date of mfr determined by checkcosmetic.net, I would very much like to hear about it.UPDATE Jan 9, 2018: I've changed my mind on this product. Whatever its origin I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Wonderful scent and astringency.

This is a great summertime fragrance, for both men and women. The only issue I have is it is a tad on the expensive side.

I bought this as a Xmas gift for my boyfriend and needless to say he loved it and I LOVE it on him! The scent is citrusy, fresh, and bright but masculine too. We were introduced to Hermes cologne and fragrances while we spent a summer in Paris and we IMMEDIATELY fell in love with almost all the fragrances. Hermes is kinda hard to find in the US and many places sell fakes so watch out!!! THIS IS NOT A FAKE. This is Hermes for sure! Eau d'Orange Verte by Hermes for Men this WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!! ;-)

I received the product as described, but did not care for the smell or duration (doesn't last very long).I would return if I could, but given its alcohol content and Amazon's return policy I can't.
