I just can't bring myself to open a great bottle and then not finish it in 24 hrs
Coravin has taken the stress out of my life regarding my wine! I am the only one at home that drinks wine and my wine locker is full...I just can't bring myself to open a great bottle and then not finish it in 24 hrs...so there goes another $65 glass of wine...I would have to wait until one of my serious wine friends would come over to open something...no longer...I found out about Coravin 2 years ago, but with reading reviews at the time it just seemed like it would be an even more expensive toy...but I finally decided to ignore the nay slayers after talking to Nicole at one of my favorite wineries...she assured me it would be perfect and it is! My original purchase was the white plastic with blue trim...I mean $200! I fell in love almost immediately! My daughter who was a little suspect was also bowled over...long story short...just ordered the Blue Steel Limited Edition today for me and giving my daughter my other one...DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY A CORAVIN!!! BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO WINE LOVERS!

Take the plunge and enjoy
This is the limited edition Coravin Wine Preservation System in which I picked up from the Amazon Truck. Fantastic buy for this unit. I ended up buying 6 other units for Christmas gifts. Entry level to special edition color units. This is a fantastic gift and definitely practical for the wine connoisseur. I for myself purchased additional accessories due to the great price I managed to get mine for. But this purchase with all the accessories is a good buy. It will save u on wasting wine and at first it's fun and impressive to use. But once the nostalgia wears off it really is practical.

Will change the way you drink wine...
I bought this after a few years of deliberating on whether or not I needed it. The main thing that tipped me over the edge to spend the $$ was I have quite a few bottles of wine, and wanted to taste some but not drink the entire bottle...with COVID I do not have much opportunity to socialize so tend to not be able to drink a bottle of wine before it starts to oxidize. The Coravin works really well, and is easy to use. The Limited Edition which I bought looks nice, but for the price point I would have expected different materials than plastic for the main frame and bottle holder. Mostly you are paying for the brand and the argon capsules- similar to Nespresso before cheaper alternatives started to appear. I would definitely recommend it if you have the $$ and tend to have several bottles of wine going at the same time (or want to try several at a time). One thing to keep in mind is that it only works with wine bottles that use real cork (metal or faux cork bottletops won't work).

Meh... an expensive endeavor
Wow - this little doo-hickey is expensive. Let's discuss. You see, I'm what is commonly referred to as a day drinker. You know, the suave lush-y type that realized why wait for 5 pm? Why not, instead, make up for yesterday's 5 pm? I also started purchasing higher-end bottles of wine because I figured, what good is sclerosis of the liver if it's not pretty, am-i-right? So Google-me-forward to discovering this device and seeing how it uses an inert gas (a little one named Argon, and I'm not talking about my ex...) and the fact that it promises to keep what you don't pour fresh. Afterall, I'm a sensible lush - you don't down the whole bottle in the first hour... hello, people. I received a Treasure Truck offer of 50% off, so I thought: this is clearly a sign from my heaven-based AA group to bite on this purchase; still, it was a bit unnerving how expensive the Coravin was. But a limited edition? Hi - that's basically my middle name. Several cases of bottles of wines later, here are some critical findings: 1) I have yet to see this magical 'naturally resealing' technology work - I constantly find that it leaks a little bit of air if pressure is left in the bottle when I pull the needle out. When I pull out, the last thing I want to deal with is remnant liquid and my cork bubbling over like it has Tourettes. 2) Whoever indicated that you simply tap the button and allow the pressure to pour was clearly taking the Gulliver's Travels Wine Tour and sipping from a teaspoon. Holy baby Jesus, I had to tap that button over and over to get my little goblet of joy to overflow. (Take it from here, Ms. Poppins) 3) The refills - oh mylanta, the refills. They claim you can get 30 pours (I presume that means enough pressure to pour 30 glasses from multiple bottles, because, let's be honest - I'm lucky if I can two glasses of wine from a bottle). The 30 must have been a typo by someone that was inhaling helium instead of argon - because Argonna be honest (see what I did there?) there is no way one capsule is lasting through 30 pours; so factor this into cost. 4) for the love of all that is holy, stay away from the needle. After you've had a bottle (or two) and you're looking at this contraption trying to figure out how it works, I will tell you from first-hand experience that it is not a contraption who's needlework you want to become intimate with. Let's just say I had a hard time deciphering my blood from red wine when I accidentally stabbed myself with the needle. I'm just putting that out there, that's not really Coravin's fault.

For the discriminating wine-o...
I purchased this for my wife as a Crimmus gift of tge Amazon Truck. I had previously seen it being used by my wine reps but the cost was rather extravagant at the time. Anyway, this thing is perfect for corked wine. Whether you just want a glass or two rather than the whole bottle or you want to sample different bottles on a given night without feeling like you have to finish them. It was a lil tricky getting the pour process right. Once you figure out the mechanics (basically using a compressed gas to push put the liquid), however, it's a snap. If you have a full wine fridge (in our case, two) and it's on sale, highly recommended.

Don't waste your money
It only works on wines with natural corks, not synthetic corks. Do not buy this product; they absolutely do not accept returns. I don’t think I’ll be shopping on Amazon again

Works as advertised for me, much to my surprise ...
Works as advertised for me, much to my surprise. An opened bottle of wine lasts weeks now, instead of a day or two. I used to throw out a lot of wine because it noticeably (to me) turned after a day or so, no matter what I tried to lengthen its life. I need a new set of replacement capsules every couple of months but that cost is more than offset by the reduction in the number of bottles that I buy.

Easy to use!
It's very easy to use. I love that I can try a few bottles without needing to finish one. I can even have white with dinner and red with dessert and not feel I have to stick to one bottle.
