Maggie and Max (The Puppy Place) Paperback – October 1, 2008

I read this book aloud for my 11 year old son, who's a pet-lover. We especially enjoyed that there was a cat in this one. It takes place at Christmas time, but it is a pleasure to read at any time of the year.We've read at least three other books from the series, and some of them teach us more about caring for pets than others. This one was a little less educational, but enjoyable none the less.

My daughter loves puppies, and these are her favorite books. She is in 1st grade and she sits down to read, read, read. Then she tells me all about the stories. She mentioned, "I feels as if I was really there with Charles and Lizzy!" If your kids love pets and love to read, these books are great!

I think this book is wonderful for kids of all ages because this is a lovely,funny story.I think you will think the same.:)

I bought this book for my 6-year old daughter to read during her summer vacation. She enjoys animals and read all of the Kitty Corner books and now Puppy Place. I would recommend this book as a layback, enjoyable reading material for 1-2 grade children.

The books are better for a 3rd grader. My granddaughter will enjoy them better when she is a little older.

Cute book for my first grader!

We bought this book because of the cute pets on the cover. We have a St Bernard and a Tux Cat. I wanted a read aloud for my 7, 8 and 10 year olds that was entertaining, short, and not at all scary for bedtime since my kids have issues with ANY scary content. What surprised me is how enjoyable it was to read TO them. Some books are horrid to read to children and are torture for the adult, this series is NOT one of those. Even my 10 year old is enjoying the stories; I was worried he would be too old. These books are light, fun, and have a happy ending. My anxious kiddos LOVE story time and happily fall asleep with visions of Puppy Place.

Our 7 yr. old Granddaughter was so excited when she seen the the book . Although it was suppose to stay at Grandma & Grandpa's house, she took it home.

My grandson was very happy to read this book, great book.
