I received the remote with paid expedited shipping on time, although for $45 I really don't see why it's not sent in a small box to protect it during shipping and yep no batteries neither which I was ready for since I had just bought some. Then the pairing is where trouble hit bc it's a process that I will share in case someone else needs the help like I did. The remote will ONLY turn the TV on / off so first after batteries are put in you will have to press 3 buttons together for 30 seconds... The settings, back button and the left curser button has to be simultaneously.Then after that you have to make sure the remote control goes through an update so the voice control will start working all together and get it fully working again but yes it's not by just pressing the home button as said by the seller here on the description. It takes a few more steps but then ur good to go! Good luck!

I would give replacement remote 5 stars if it wouldn’t have taken so long to pair up. First of all, I bought my Toshiba Fire TV July of 2018 on Prime Day...very happy with TV but when remote went missing it was hard to know if my TV was which Generation which is how they are sold. . . There is no mention of a generation upon purchase so I took a chance and went with this one. I was so tired of using my phone for a remote and extremely excited to get this one today but it took absolutely forever to pair up. I kept going back and trying again. I tried to add a zillion times (well several) then I had to eliminate my original remote like 3 times and after the 3rd time of eliminating the original I got it paired up....really happy about that but wish it wouldn’t haven’t been so difficult. But, message is have patience and so good to have a real remote again :)

Remote works fine but don’t call the customer support line they don’t know anything. I found a review that tells you how to get the remote working where you hold the back button the settings button and the left cursor button together for 30 seconds and then the remote worked. Customer support tried saying something was wrong with my tv and that I should by another one

The remote paired but the voice control and a couple of the buttons won't work. We enjoyed the voice control setting for our kids who can't spell or read, so they are able to find their shows with ease.-----------------------------------------I wanted to revise my original review but figured I would leave the first one with my issues incase another customer comes across this problem. My remote paired to my TV automatically when I put the batteries in. Voice control did not work at all, and some buttons didn't work on some of the apps. I went into my TV's settings and unpaired the remote theb re-paired it to the TV, the remote had to update itsself and now is 100% working.The seller is fantastic as well. Answered all of my emails and even called us.

Finally got it to work. The url they give for pairing instructions is bogus. I've bought enough (3) fire voice remotes to know they are SUPPOSED to come in a protective box WITH batteries. I wonder what they do with all the batteries. If you have a Fire tv/box/stick you can get the remote to get you to Settings then remote and finally pair new voice remote which takes a couple of minutes but then should work for you. Hope if you buy this remote from this seller you are able to get it to work. Good luck.

This is simply a remote for a FireTV, I have one from Toshiba that I bought on Amazon. Unfortunately, my Toshiba FireTV does not work without a remote and my 2 year old threw mine away. There is no external buttons on the TV so without a remote it's mostly useless. Connecting a new remote is fairly easy and is under the devices menu. If you have a TV like mine then you will also need the Fire App to control the tv to get to the menu to connect the remote... Whew.Buy an extra one of these for if an when you lose yours!

Perfect replacement for your factory remote. Pairing may be a challenge. Pairing instructions in the item description didn't work for me. Using a generic remote I was able to go to "setting", "controllers & bluetooth devices", "Amazon Fire TV remotes" and so on. Follow instructions to pair new remote and unpair old remote, if desired. One star off because remote should be able to bump up or down channel numbers. If you have 100 channels that aren't on a guide, it's tough to remember what number to ask Alexa for. I have the 19" 720P version of the Toshiba Fire Tv.

Important. When you receive this, it will only power the TV on & offYou will need to go into settings on your Fire TV and add it is a Bluetooth device.Once added it works perfect.Mine has the Insignia name on it instead of Toshiba...no difference whatsoever!'One more thing, you may need the original remote control to program this, if you don't have it, I ma not sure how you would proceed...A bargain price and I am very pleased with it.
