Funny thing
This part was order to help fix my lawnmower that started to spit ans supudder at the end of last year's cutting season. We order the part, it comes in and now the mower is purring along like a kitten. We are keeping it in case it starts acting up again. And yes my mechanic says it was a carburetor issue that was causing it to spit and spudder last year.

No complaints
The only diff. from the replacement & the original was the fuel cut off solenoid was not adjustable. BUT there was enough loose wire on my 20H.P. to hook it up. Worked great. I did have to use some Hi temp silicone on the intake as my plastic part was warped & would not seal tight. That may have been the orig. problem, But for the price of a new carb. NO Complaints!

Ok
Ordered one of these and out-of-the-box the engine would surge real bad. Ordered another one and it was okay but then about a month later it started surging.if you get one that works right there great but sometimes you have to go through two or three to get there.

Good replacement part but choke linkage was totally different for my application but was able to use choke rod from old original equipment carb to make it work started right off an idled Smooth

Fits Briggs 407777 no problem.
Installed on Friday night and mowed around three acres the next day on a JD L118 with a Briggs 407777. Fired right up and ran perfectly with no issues. Deburred the unit on arrival as the casting wasn't perfect. The finish on the machined faces is not perfect, but good enough. Comes with various gaskets for different applications. The solenoid wire works fine, for this model, in the new location as well. So far it seems like a good value.

fits as stated,runs like a charm
I put this on my old Briggs vtwin 21hp lawn tractor motor and it never ran so well. Couldn't idle down before but now slows down nicely. didn't have to adjust anything.

carb looks good
got the carb and it looks ok. haven't used it yet. it shows gaskets in the picture but there were non in the box. Can't be installed without the gaskets.

Cheaper than trying to clean a carb anymore
I loved how well packaged the carb was. I fix mowers as a hobby. I've actually bough several carbs of this same model. Not once have I had a single issue with them. They bolt right on!!! No adjustments needed!
