Good quality camera at reasonable price
THIS IS FOR THE PURCHASER: Be sure to read CAREFULLY the entire quick installation guide when installing and setting up the camera. I set mine up pretty handily to view on my mobile phone, but couldn't get it to show on my wife's phone. ONE little sentence on the last page of the manual cleared it up for me. Also realize that for a $50 camera, don't expect high quality resolution that allows you to read license plates of cars or detailed images of people's faces to the degree you would with an expensive camera. Be happy with what it does, or spend more money! This is my second Dericam camera I've set up for security, and I'm happy with what it does, but it does have limitations.THIS IS FOR THE DERICAM COMPANY: Your instructions for attaching the camera to a wall are incorrect - you say to use a 3/16th inch drill bit to drill pilot holes into drywall for the drywall mounts. Note that this hole will be too small when mounting into a wood wall outside - you'll need at least a 7/32 inch hole to push them in. ALSO, this little cylindrical doo-dad (see my second picture) comes with all your cameras, but you never address it in your literature or explain how to use it in setting up your camera. I get it that it's probably for a wire, but you don't say so, and it's not even mentioned in your list of items included in the box.

2-way audio not working (either way)
I received this camera and set it up no problem. Everything seems to be working great except the audio. The camera doesn't seem to pickup any audio at all, but it does make a humming noise in the recordings and live-stream. Also, trying to use my android phone to broadcast my voice to the camera doesn't work at all. I hold down the mic button and talk into my phone, but the camera doesn't make any noise at all.I've contacted support's email and will update this review later based on how they rectify this. If they can't, then I'll try to get Amazon to send me a replacement and again update this review later.EDIT: I was mislead about the camera including audio because of the paragraph in the description talking about 2-way audio. The seller has removed that paragraph and informed me that you need to hookup a microphone and speaker (NOT INCLUDED) to get audio.

A+++ Easy to setup - Easy to use - Reasonably Priced - Compatible with my existing setup
One of the requirements for purchasing additional cameras for my home security was that it be compatible with the software I use, which is HIP2P Client. I also have FDT cameras that use the same software. This way, each camera records and stores on it's individual memory card, and all cameras using HIP2P, record a second copy on a dedicated PC. I also use a battery backup for the cameras in case we ever loose power. The Dericams have a easy access door to install the memory card, and have an easy to clean lens. Very little maintenance. The smart phone app is easy to use and that too is compatible with the FDT products. I have my whole system easily accessable in one app.

Good price, easy to install, very clear images during the day and with the infrared light at night
Easy to install for a simple task such as garage door monitor (check to see if the door was closed after leaving the house). just plug into the outlet for power, and the Wifi works fine.Had to reset the router password and reconnected all the devices previously connected to the router with the new password because the camera does not support characters " \ & =.Don't know if this camera can withstand the temperatures in the garage next summer, especially the SD card.

for the price it's pretty good
For the price - you get what you pay for I guess.. PRETTY GOODWell they don't give any help to change video settings. Bit rate, frame rate, qualityJust started with the motion activated record setting and it seemed to record all night... i turned down the sensitivity today so I'll see how it does tonight tomorrow. It don't allow you to clear the recordings in SD playback for some reason. Not sure how much it will store and if it takes up space on the sd card...... maybe they'll reply here

See what's there
I installed this camera on a pole on my property, out in the weather, and have nothing but good performance from it. The 1080p image is great enough that I can easily read license plates passing it. I live out in the boonies and my house is over 50 yards from the road. I had to turn down the sensitivity to reduce the number of alerts. This is great performance! The remote monitoring through my phone or tablet is what makes this really a stand out product along with the other features. Some systems require a subscription to see your camera when off-site. I plan to buy one of their indoor cameras to replace the one I'm using to get the better image and be able to use the same app to view them.If you want a well-built camera for outside and don't need pan/tilt then this is the one you should seriously consider.

Motion detection poor.
Night vision very good with a range over 100 feet but daylight vision is marginal in that picture quality degrades when using digital zoom, optical zoom not available. Motion detection and alarm notification is useless. When motion detection sensitivity is set low enough that small birds do not trigger alarm it will not detect larger targets such as people and has the same problem at night with insects that are attracted to the IR light used to illuminate the area. Good camera but motion detection useless.

Good for price
For the price, this is a pretty good camera, much better than the battery operated Arlo’s I purchased earlier. The motion detection is very sensitive, I had to turn it way down to avoid a lot of unnecessary email alerts
