Why does my dewalt charger (dc3910) give me a fast blink, indicating replace pack, on this brand new battery? bad cell? return it for replacement?

Hi, Can this also replace a DE 9181 18v compact lithium lion battery?

If you mean a DC9181, they are just a smaller capacity version of the DC9180 and they interchange. If these batteries will replace the 9180, they will work for the 9181 too. I have both for my drill.
