It not only worked well with my vita mix, but I use it to mix my lemon aid in my pitcher. It cleans my mixer beaters well.

It is a handy tool, does the job when you want to scrape food out, but come on, Vitamix, you couldn’t have thrown one in when I bought the A3500???? I bet if they were not labeled “Vitamix” I could have picked one up at the Dollar store.

Pretty expensive for what it is but if you have a Vitamix you've already accepted the expensive part. It is well made and allows you to get everything out of the blender. Gets everything hiding under the blades and works great the get those thick smoothies moving rather than waiting for gravity...

With a big silicone spatula, you get most of what you blended out, and your spatula acquires cuts round the edges. This makes the spatula less effective for future scraping jobs, and I'm not overjoyed about the prospect of little bits of silicone dropping off during use.I bought this because it's intended for use with a vitamix. It gets under the blades, and the curved side fits into the curved areas of the blender reasonably well for scraping out most of what you've been blending. We do a lot of thick sauces and smoothies and the like in the blender, so getting more of the sauce out is a good thing. Given the complex shapes of the inside of the blender, I don't think there's another shape that would do a better job than this one getting those thick bits of sauce to come out.It's not perfect, I don't think anything will get ALL of a sticky sauce out of a blender. But it does a good job and it seems tougher than the silicone spatula, it's not chewed up by the blades as much.All in all it's a good tool, though I could wish it were a bit lower price for what it is. You're not going to use it in the peanut butter jar or to get out the last bit of honey. You could, but you won't, because this tool is small and purpose built for the blender. So it's not really a multitasker. But it's not a bad choice for frequent blender users.

This os exactly what I needed for the Vitamix blender I bought on Prime Day. It's made from a very strong composite and can handle being put next to the blades. You need this to get everything out of that blender!

Since Vitamix jars can't be unscrewed to recover thick foodstuffs, this scraper was intended to remove said foodstuffs from the bottom of the jar. Sort of works. A narrow spatula works better because it holds more on the surface. Unfortunately, the spatula can't get under the blades. This scraper does get under the blades but requires a bit of manipulation to recover the food while getting the scraper out of the blades.Overpriced. You'd think Vitamix would provide one with its blenders.

Hard to imagine writing a review for a piece of plastic, but given that it solved an otherwise annoyingly intractable problem, I felt it was the right thing to do.I was talking with Vitamix product support and happened to ask if there was some secret trick to getting the last bit of stuff out of the cannister - you know, the stuff that's under the blade, They said "yeah - we have the perfect tool for that."The price was right. But more importantly, the thing really does work perectly, It is designed to fit between the blades, slide underneath . THere is no spatula that can do what it does. I HIGHLY recommend this little thing.
