Easy to use.
The instructions that come with this are not straight forward at all. The product is built and works well, that is why it gets five stars. The instructions are a failure. Thw best way to see how this works it to watch a YouTube video or two. That helped out tremendously. Over product is recommended.

Awl tool works well for conventional sewing uses.
This is a simple, well-made awl sewing tool with two needles stored in the handle. Instructions are photocopied on a single sheet and a bit hard to read in tiny type. I recommend you watch one of several short YouTube Awl instruction videos if you haven't used a awl before. I repaired torn car seats seams and found the tool easy to use.

Good with limitations
Needle broke. I was repairing a sail… probably too many layers…. Webbing, sacrificial Sunbrella, sailcloth layers …. Good system with limitations.

Great inexpensive tool! Read review.
Works great! If you haven't used one before, find a video online and it's super simple. Make sure to pay attention to the video, you pull the thread from UNDER the needle. Watch a video, easy. Once I paid attention to the details, worked fantastic.

Exactly what YouTube taught me to expect
It's very good for someone who doesn't know how to machine or hand sew, does the job but is kinda sloppy and hard to keep everything lined up just right

keeps old heands young.
Sewing is quicker as it picks up the thread makes sweing tough material likte leather and upholstery easy. Remember helping mother do a couch and we had gloved needle noise pliers and heavy gauge curved neeedles to work with. push and pull is great. Good bang for buck and saves hands.
