This light is actually somewhere around 940nm
I threw a 980nm bandpass filter on this and it throws a ton of light compared to my 840nm illuminator. Works well with my nvg30. I 3d printed a little adapter to center the filter that I bought and it works amazingly well. Also great that this thing takes 18650s.

Works with Sionyx Aurora
This is a very light weight and small ir light. It works great with the Sionyx Aurora for indoor use. I have not tried it outdoors or with a firearm yet. It does show a red glow so if you’re looking for stealth and tactical use this is not what you want. Someone will easily see the red glow. Overall it’s a solid little light. It’s has an adjustable beam as well. Pick up some batteries and a charger as this does not come with them.

Quality at a good price
Bought this for my NVG30. For the price, it is awesome. Very bright. With the unaided eye, you can see just a VERY SMALL red glow if you hold it up to your eye and look directly into it. Otherwise it is totally invisible. Quality seems really good.

Not worth it if you don't already have an extra battery and charger
The first one I received was defective. The seller replaced it with no problems. The second one worked much better. I'm using it in conjunction with a night vision scope, and it illuminates objects up to about 30 feet. It would have been nice if the flashlight had a USB port on it to charge the battery. If you don't already have an extra battery and charger,r you will have to buy a separate one. This brings the total cost just to use it to almost double the initial cost of the flashlight, and in my opinion,n it is not worth it.

Very good ir light!
This ir light is my favorite one so far! Low weight, very bright, and mounts perfectly to a helmet (with an additional light mount). Liked it so much I bought another. Range is decent and could most likely illuminate an object at 100 yards or so. I’ll have to see how the battery life stacks up but I’m sure it shouldn’t be a problem at all. Highly recommend!

Save your money
Illuminator did not work as advertised. Light over heated in my pocket. I would not recommend this product.

Works fine
Simple design, and simply works. I accidentally dropped it on ground and I can barely see any mark of that. I love the design of the visible red dot on the light so that I can tell if it is on or not. This design can prevent from battery waste. This is a infrared light which is not visible. I used my night vision goggle with it and it works pretty good, light up the area well. It worth the price, will update on battery life.

Surprisingly Bright, Works Well with Digital NV
Bang for the buck, these are hard to top when it comes to brightness per size and dollar. Wavelength works well for most NV, but especially digital stuff. The 'zoom' adjustment works fairly well and can help dial in throw. I use these for hunting, so it's nice to have a couple pre-set for different ranges and electrical taped in position (literally just wrap eletrical tape around the head capturing it in place) so they don't adjust in my pack. The only issue I've seen with this style of light is that sometimes you end up with a light that will drain batteries, even when off. This is not uncommon in the cheap flashlight game, and it's unfortunately par for course. I suggest either storing these with the batteries out (if keeping long-term storage) or at least checking them with a battery tender after leaving it overnight to see if they are leaking charge.
