Great Pressure Cooker
This was a good size for me. This is a good size to do a pot roast in. I have only used it once for vegetables but it was wonderful compared to a pressure cooker that was about 25 years old. This uses less water to cook with and everything is built into the handle. The pressure release is easy to use, just make sure the release valve is pointing away from you so as not to get burned. This one is rated for induction tops which I have. Very easy to clean after use. The quality of the Zavor is quite good as well. Completely satisfied with this purchase.

Not a great cooking experience
As a huge fan of Fagor pressure cookers, I was relieved to find that Zavor had risen as the replacement brand. However, my experience this cooker has been abysmal. The cooker would not hold pressure when it first arrived. When I contacted Zavor about it, they ran me through a rather infuriating step by step process before they finally, and seemingly grudgingly, made me ship it back to them, where they took a week to fix it, and then shipped it back. All during this time, no offer was made to simply replace the cooker. Or at the very least, the lid.Upon its return, while it does EVENTUALLY hold pressure, it requires such a high heat that everything inside burns. I've tried using extra water and meticulously un-lidding and stirring repeatedly (losing pressure in the process) while it's coming to pressure at high heat, in an attempt to keep dinner from burning. And as a final straw, the pressure control dial is completely flakey. It gets clogged with steam, making it seem like nothing is happening, until it's manually jiggled and then it spits out a burst of hot water and steam, and returns to 'normal' operation. It means I can't ever trust that the sound coming from the cooker is relevant to what is happening inside. This is even after thorough cleaning as recommended to me by Zavor.

almost identical to my old Fagor rapida set
good solid stainless with reliable design. Lid fits on old fagor pots which I've had for 30 yrs

Every meal turns out great even though I cook under pressure.
Just make sure you turn the heat down once the pressure has been reached or you will burn the tar out of your food. This cooker is worth it. But monitor your heat so you don't burn dinner. I don't recommend this cooker if you dont' do well under pressure. But, you know what they say. If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen.Great product in my opinion. But who am I? Hells kitchen?

Tender and tasty
I just bought this cooker around Christmas this year and have only used it a few times. Had seen them at Macys for quite a bit more. Good old Amazon always has the best deal. It works very well and is attractive to boot. Polished 18/10 stainless steel. This pot is tall about 17 inches, and has plenty of room for cooking. Not sure what the bottom plate is made of, but keeps food hot even after removed from the heat source. I just place the lid on top after cooking, and stays steaming hot for some time. It has a small indicator that lets you know it is at full pressure, 15 pounds, it is from there that you start your timing of the food your cooking. Has three ways to release pressure. Can be done with the quick release position, you can run cool water over the pot, or let it cool down naturally about 10 minutes. My stove is electric, but can be used with gas or induction. Is easy to clean and comes with detailed instructions and 50 recipes to try. So far I love it. Meats come out so tender, and vegies cook in about 7 minutes. There's a lot to like about this one!

Great stove top pressure cooker
Holds nicely at 15lbs of pressure and have a heavy bottom so easier to brown meats before pressure. It steams continually which was different from an instant pot so the first time I used it I thought the seal was broken. It’s become my favorite pot for sauces and Indian curries.
